Hempt Farms is located in the Keystone state of Pennsylvania.  Back in 1942, Max C. Hempt sent the first Hempt Farms Consignment to auction in Harrisburg, PA. In the ensuing years such Hempt-bred champions as Horses of the Year Keystone Ore and Stenographer have carried the farm’s banner on the racetracks on North America and Europe.

 

Today, under the directions of George F. Hempt, Hempt Farms continues to be a leading breeder of Standardbreds. Horses carrying the Hempt’s trademark, the “Keystone” moniker, frequently made headlines with wins in major stakes.
