Welcome to IrenePeterson.com!

Update 1/8/2009: I'm fighting a fierce battle against a fearsome foe, but trust that I will come out victorious. Lymphoma sucks, but I'm from Jersey.

Update 8/29/08: Welcome once again to my website.
It's been a great summer and now the girls are going back to university, I have one last chance to update you all before I'm stuck to my Livejournal for news.

BIG NEWS is that I have obtained the short files from the British Institute for Paranormal Studies (BIPS) and they are now up on my website for all to see. This is a tremendous coup as the information is up to date and helpful to writers and students of the supernatural and paranormal.

This group helped me so much with my current manuscript, I agreed to put up some information for them. While BIPS cannot be reached by non-members, anyone with questions can contact me and I will forward requests to them.
My membership is quite valid.

Past updates: I'm sorry for the prolonged downtime. Someone had phished my site and uploaded a weather chart for West Virginia in its stead. With the end of the school year, both of my webmistresses were up to their eyeballs in papers and exams, and even though they suggested ways I could fix it, there was no way I could. My outstanding scholar in geoscience and graduate, Elyse, was able to take a few short minutes out of her busy life and fix things up for me, so we should be back up and running. Karyn is back from Russia, and outside of a sore throat and blistered feet, is really glad to be back in the States. She saw so much and learned so much, but she's really glad to be back home in Jersey. Nobody likes to feel foreign. As a treat, we all spent yesterday down the shore. I spent Monday with the Hungry Readers from Manville.

Wow! Another year gone by. I've been working on two new stories...ghosts and dragon men...and dealing with weird stuff at home. Life is NEVER boring around here. My blog is getting lots of attention, though, and I'm writing about writing on it, along with writing tips and how-tos and trying to write dark stuff and paranormal observations. None of this is in order, though. Sorry, you have to search through archives for the good stuff.

June will bring me out from hiding, though. Be sure to check the personal appearances link. I'll be signing in fabulous Spring Lake at the Sandpiper Inn and rubbing elbows with the wonderful LIRW ladies at their annual luncheon.

All About Romance has listed Kisses to Go as one of its Buried Treasures of 2007. "Lee Brewer suggests Kisses to Go by Irene Peterson, about a woman's vacation in England at an old, ancestral manor. Lee writes, 'I was ready to book a stay after reading this book.'" Cool, huh?

Currently, I'm working on an exciting paranormal involving dragons. I have a ghost story written and ready to go out, and hope to see them accepted shortly.

Carly's story is finished and currently looking for a publisher. I hope to put up a chapter for preview soon!

For fun, you should stop by my Blog, which is updated every day.
