All people are born sinful,
separated from God and in need of a Savior. We know this from the Bible and from
experience.
God is a holy God who wants
to be connected to people in spite of their sin and who loves us so much that He wants to stay connected even when we turn
our backs on Him.
God made the connection
once and for all by becoming one of us in His Son Jesus of Nazareth. By living
a perfect life, dying for the sins of the world, and being raised from the dead, Jesus opened the way for us to be united
with the Father.
Individual people are restored
to fellowship (have a good connection) with God when, by God’s gift of grace, they receive Jesus as their Savior.
God’s plan of salvation
is revealed in the Bible, which is God’s authoritative word.
Those who have received
Jesus Christ as their Savior are called to come together in the church to work, worship, and witness with their brothers and
sisters in Christ.
In Baptism we are adopted
into God’s family. In Holy Communion we are assured of our personal forgiveness, life with the Risen Lord, and God's
presence in our lives.
