Let's see how many children, ages 4 through the 5th grade, that we can get to church on this day for a great party with games and surprises to launch another wonderful year of Godly Play. Invite your friends.

The Bishop throws out the first ball at 7:00 p.m. as the Dodgers and the Colorado Rockies engage in a battle for First Place in the National League West. We have about 50 riders and we will meet in front of the church on Third Street of the church at 5:00 p.m. Bus will leave as soon as everyone is on board!

Love INC (Love In the Name of Christ) is one of the "missions" that our vestry adopted through which we might share our abundance with others in need. Last Christmas, Love INC had 188 families request help with providing a Christmas gift for their children. By starting their toy collection early, they were able to give a toy to 501 children. The need will not be less in 2010. A box in the back of church, beginning next Sunday, will be available to receive unwrapped toys for this effort which will continue through October.

If you would like the church, and specifically Mother Judy, to know when you are in the hospital and to be authorized to receive information regarding your medical condition, there are forms on the back table and in the parish office for you to take with you. This form can be filed with your doctor or with admissions staff in the hospital when you are admitted as a patient. This can be especially helpful for people who live alone and have no family members who are available to serve in this capacity.
