This truck was purchased in 1996 as an additional engine. It was delivered in April, 1996. It is a Saulsbury Fire Equipment Corp. pumper. The unit has a 1500 gallon per minute Hale single-stage fire pump. The body is a "standard" pumper type body of stainless steel construction. The booster tank is 1000 gallons and is constructed of poly material. The engine is a Cummins Diesel six cylinder engine which develops 350 horse power. It has an Allsion World automatic transmission. The chassis is a Spartan Motors Gladiator. It has a 1200 watt inverter powering two 500 watt telescopic floodlights, pre-piped TFT Crossfire deck gun with Extend-a-gun. It currently carries 2000 feet of 5" supply line in tow 1000 ft beds, and six 200 ft 1-3/4" attack lines and two 200 ft 2-1/2" attack lines. This is our "first due" engine.
