TANKER No. 1
This truck was a combination of a new 1999 Freightliner chassis, and an existing 1992 tanker body. It is a Saulsbury Fire Equipment Corporation Mohawk model tanker. The unit has a 250 gallon per minute Hale portable fire pump. The engine is Cummins eight cylinder diesel engine which develops 275 horsepower. It has an Allison five speed automatic transmission. The tank isa 1600 gallon poly tank. It carries two 1600 gallon portable ponds, a 24' extension and 14' roof ladder, and two 150' 1-1/2" hose lines to be used on grass, brush, or minor fires.
