This truck was purchased in 2000. It is a Ford Excursion four wheel drive used primairly for EMS calls, that do not require the response of a Heavy Rescue Apparatus. The engine is a Powerstroke 8 cylinder diesel, with an automatic transmission. It has a wide variety of EMS equipment on board. The conversion from sport utility to rescue truck was done by Odyssey Specialty Vehicles of Wharton, NJ. On average this truck will respond to alarms twice a day.
