How to Submit Items

Submission info

We Charge a 10% service fee on all items sold. If any items don't sell, they will be returned to its original owner. You may submit items, pick up checks, claim returned items, or flirt with Leia at Ice Cove Auction or H.O.T. Auction house each day between 12 and 1pm and 8 and 9 pm central time (except on auction nights).

Submission Guidelines for Both Auctions

Place your item(s) in a bag along with a book.

Write the following information inside the book:

  • Description of Item

  • Character Name

  • Contact Info (preferrably ICQ number but email OK)

  • Opening bid amount (the least you will accept for your item)

  • Use seperate bags & books if items are to be auctioned seperately.

Additional Guidelines for Ice Cove's Themed Auctions

    • Only submit items that are specific to the upcoming monthly auction. For example, if it's a pet auction, only submit pets. Owners must be at the auction with their pet(s) for them to be auctioned off.  Staff can't hold all your pets. :-)

    • Make sure you have thoroughly described the item (or pet), including any stats (or skills for pets) that are available.

    • Watch the Stratics Lake Austin Forum or the News on this website for Ice Cove's monthly theme. It will be different each month.

Do :NOT submit items to anyone other than the Staff listed in Ice Cove's and H.O.T.'s Staff Sections on this web site.

    Auction Rules

    Bidding Rules:

We put items on display one at a time. Then bidding begins. Various players will call out their bids. Bidding will end when no one else can top the high bid within the allowed time. (going once ... going twice ... SOLD!!!) The winner will then proceed to buy their item off of the nearby NPC vendor.

Note: There is a 1 minute wait before the winner can purchase their items off of the vendor.

Also, all bids are in K's or 1,000 gold. (for example, if an item starts at 50, that means 50,000 gold is the minimum bid allowed). 5k ups over 50k, 10k ups over 100k, and 100k ups over 1 mil. When an item is over 1 mil in gold, the bids automatically becomes 1 (example: you must bid 1.1 in order to top the previous 1 bid).

All this may seem confusing at first, but it's really not that bad. :-)

    Auction Rules:

  • Do not talk while bidding is in progress, we ask this of you because we finalize all bids in our journal, so any talking will spam the journal. This makes our job harder than it has to be!
  • Do not cast spells once auction has started, the occasional night sight is allowed. For gates, please cast them downstairs.
  • No hiding or invising in the house.
  • No PVP in the house.
  • Do not bid if you cannot afford the item! Please check your bank account's balance beforehand.
  • Do not buy any items that you did not win.
  • Do not advertise your own items for sale...this is an auction after all!
  • Failure to follow the above rules may result in a permanent ban from our auctions!!!

    Auction Etiquette:

  • Do not make negative comments regarding items or final bids on items. People work hard to obtain their items, and we filter submissions to make sure all items are at least somewhat decent or desirable. So if you don't have anything nice to say, keep the comments to yourself!
  • If a seat is already occupied, please find an empty seat.
  • Stable your pets or leave them downstairs before you attend the auction.

    Thank you!
  • Additionally, all Auction Staff may bid on items EXCEPT the auctioneer.
