VCOA Background and NY Hudson Mohawk Chapter History
The Volvo Club of America (VCOA) is a national
organization of owners and enthusiasts of all Volvo models, from the
historic through the latest offerings.
The New York Hudson Mohawk Chapter is a local group of
VCOA members who gather and celebrate their Volvo's in the Albany,
New York area.
The chapter was initiated by Mark Williams in 2002 and
a group of Volvo owners and enthusiasts quickly gelled. A local Volvo
dealer assisted with the chapter's formation. Kevin Davis, the parts
manager at Capital Volvo (formerly
Keeler Volvo), was a generous promoter and supporter. The chapter meets
once every few months, at the dealership's showroom, or local restaurant.
Besides meetings, the chapter also participates
in technical seminars at the dealership, picnics, and other chapter events
such as defensive driving courses. Check the
calendar page for the latest information, or contact one of the
officers.
