Words from our Chapter Directors
Hello Everyone. Sorry it has taken so long to get the newsletter going.
There has been many reasons why but hopefully it is fixed now. There are just some little things to get done and things
will be good regarding that. If anyone has anything that they would like tosee in the newsletter, please let us know.
If more people contribute, then we will have a very informative and diverse newsletter.
I can't believe that the summer is over. August just wasn't that good for riding.
It was very wet and getting wet just to go to dinner isn't a good thing. Hopefully, September will be a nice month to
finish up our riding season. I know that we can ride in October, but the days are short and the nights are cold.
Cliff said he has a couple of ideas for day rides that we can do. I know that I am not ready to put the bike up
yet.
To those who started out the year under the weather or had some problems during the
year, it has been good to see you all up and about. Don Woods is back riding with us and feeling vey good. Marge
is walking and will be back on the trike hopefully next spring. Joey's ankle is almost back to normal and he is riding
again.
Planning for the fall, winter and spring will be going on for the next several months.
Any contributions will be welcome. Thanings to think about will be: where to have the Christamas (Holiday) Party,
other get togethers besides meetings, and other suggestions.
I've given all of you food for thought. Please give this some thought and let's
make this "off" season and upcoming year a great time with fun and companionship. See you at the meetings
and remaining rides.
Ride Safe and Keep the Shiny Side Up!

Hi Everyone
Several of the maple trees nearr the house are already putting on their fall colors,
so we all know fall isn't far away. The summer sure did fly by. In fact looking at the calendar, Monday Sept.
22 fall officially arrives!
When you are out there enjoying those last days of summer and fall, be sure to dress
for the weather with layers. Morning and evening are cooler, but there should be some nice temperatures during the day.
There will be more rain (if that is possible), and added to the leaves falling, the roads will be slippery...be careful!
With September nigh, the deer will be on the move both foraging for food to store in their fat layers for the long winter
ahead. and it will also be their mating season, and during this time, you need to be especially careful any time of
the day or night when you ae driving, be it 2, 3, or 4 wheels.
The most important thing to remember is that winter is fast approaching, so get out
there and enjoy all the riding time you can, for soon this riding season will be but fond memories.
Have a great fall!
Yvonne & Tom
