Klinkhamer Variation

I first became aware of the Klinkhamer while reading Oliver Edwards' excellent "Flytyers Masterclass." The recipe and the tie proved their merit but I wanted something a bit simpler and quicker to tie.

I set about stripping it down to the basic elements and came up with the following variation. A friend of mine in Nebraska has renamed it the "Jackhammer."

                   HOOK:  Mustad 94840 Size #10-20
	                   Info on hook preparation>
                 THREAD:  6/0 or 8/0 Color to suit abdomen
              WING POST:  White or Dun Poly
                 HACKLE:  Brown or Grizzley
       ABDOMEN & THORAX:  Olive, Tan, Rusty Brown, or other colored Plastic Canvas Yarn
