TODDIO
2/23/63 - 11/11/97

Todd Blain, of the musical group Toddio, died on November 11 of as yet unknown causes.  Todd Blain was the brother of Tim Blain, also of Toddio and currently with Dopeamatic.

For anyone who has ever heard Toddio's music, it should be noted that Todd Blain was as intense in person as he was on CD, perhaps more so.  The vocals on my own version of "Plop A Trailer Down" (found on  The Meaningful Lather Page ) were a pale attmpt to mimic Todd's.

Besides contributing cover art and general encouragement for Toddio's first album, I was priveledged to be an actual participant for one Toddio recording.  In fact, I would go so far as to say that "Satan's Dream," which appears on the  Kathode Ray Music  sampler CD "Interior/Exterior Music," is one of the musical projects I am most proud to have been a part of.
The song is a combination of my MIDI sequence, Tim's samples, and most importantly, Todd's vocals, which were improvised, and recorded in one take!  To hear the full effect, you should get this CD and play it LOUD.  For now, you can have a taste with this Real Audio version of the song.
