No more than one per week until your league's regular season ends (November 6 for most). Must be on a non-interference basis with regular team practices. After your regular season ends you can practice all you want until the tournament. All-star coaches should continue to use their regular team's practice fields/days/times for all-star practices. After your league's regular season has completed, you can also use your league's game fields/days/times for all-star practices. Limited time slots become available at turf fields. Why isn't more time available on turf fields? (1) SYC gets limited time slots for the season from the county. (Other organizations want the fields, too.) (2) Some sports, such as travel soccer, continue to use their practice fields after their regular seasons end for their own tournaments and/or tryouts. 2. Why does availability info come so late? Most new time slots come from Lee HS and/or West Springfield HS. Slots become available only when all of the school teams that use the fields finish their regular seasons and any playoff runs. Therefore, availability cannot be predicted until it happens.
