Home2004 Nissan Frontier

Well, I thought I would get, and like, a "cleaner" look to my Frontier's tailgate by removing the F R O N T I E R letters. Right now, I don't think I like the look better. The FRONTIER letters gave a nice look to the tailgate (maybe by tying it into the bumper color) and the space seems too bare to me now. I want to paint my bumper to match the body color. I think that will give a better appearance (with or without letters). I've also toyed around with the idea of a roll pan with beads rolled into it to match the tailgate. Also, I've thought about various pin striping themes.  We'll see. I still have the letters, who knows, I may put them back on someday.

BTW, removal was fairly easy. I used some fishing string to cut through the adhesive tape (like dental floss between the letter and the tailgate), then I used bumper sticker remover to get the remaining tape off of the tailgate. It took some time (I'd say I spent about 30-45 minutes), but, using a plastic straight edge on the remover soaked tape resulted in no scratches. My truck is just over two years old. There is a very faint color difference where the letters were. If you look at it just right, with the sun hitting it just right, you can tell where they were. But, if you weren't looking for it, I don't think you'd ever notice. Maybe the fade will equalize over the years.
