I'd been thinking about adding a rear anti-sway bar to my truck for quite some time. I believe you SE and LE owners already have one, but it was not included with my XE.

Now I know this isn't a sport truck. It's essentially a commuter vehicle that does the occasional light payload and small utility/boat trailer. But, given that I drive it every day of the week back and forth to work and drive it on most "family" type trips, I thought I'd make it a little more stable on the road, or at least try to.

So, I decided to finally add that Rear Anti-Sway Bar I had been looking at (produced by
Hellwig).

Here are some pictures of the final install showing the end links, which attach to the frame, and the bushings, which attach to the differential.

As you can see, it's a pretty simple setup. It took me about an hour or an hour and a half to install, but I work really slowly these days.

Pros:
1. Nice kit, packaged very well.
2. Hammertone black/silver is a nice looking and seemingly rugged finish.
3. Polyurethane bushings and end links.
4. Good price: $150.00

Cons:
1. Kit was missing end link lock or acorn nuts.
2. Wrong instructions were put in box.
3. Correct instructions were provided quickly, but were "poor" at best. It is a fairly intuitive install though I guess.
4. Design of bar may make access to differential fill plug difficult.

Results: All-in-all, this has been one of my favorite mods to my truck. Cornering now is great! The truck has a much more stable feel to it. I wish I had a G-Tech meter that would have allowed me to get a before and after g-number on the truck, but I know it would have been a significant improvement. I would recommend this kit to anyone who thinks their truck feels top-heavy or leans too much while taking a turn.
