My 2004 Nissan Frontier was built in October 2004 and I purchased it on
December 31, 2004 just before the dealership closed. It's a King Cab, 2WD, 4-cyl, 5-spd, XE in Granite. I've
been very pleased with the truck. People complain about the lack of power of the 4-cyl vehicles, but with 25+ MPG average, I'm not complaining. I've added a few items to it to make it a little
more practical: window visors, tonneau cover, trailer ball (on the bumper) & wiring, fog lights, cruise control
(didn't work out; this is added back to the list of things to do in the future), synthetic oil(s) , K&N air filter,
FlowMaster 40 Series muffler, a set of 235/75-15 Kuhmo Venture HT tires, rear anti-sway bar with polyurethane bushings
and end links, and front sway bar polyurethane bushings and end links. The only cosmetic mods I've really made are a
Home Depot, home made "gutter guard grille" (I know probably cheesy) and aftermarket tail lights. Things I might like
to do someday include: body color paint on rear bumper (and maybe door handles and side mirrors), front air dam, side
turn signal indicators to replace the XE badges, and body matching color accents on the interior (instrument bezel, other
plastic trim pieces, seats, shifter knob).
