How to join      Expectations      Naming Conventions      Shadowklan      Main

EXPECTATIONS

  • Make sure to read the Member Guide in detail. The House conducts itself quite differently from other guilds, and will be a big help to have an understanding of the basic rules so as to avoid any conflicts as you learn our traditions.

  • Members must be in-character at all times. The only exception is /send which can be OOC if necessary. As stated in the Language sections, Norse (English) is not spoken in any of the public channels. Being in-character is easy and has two parts - language and behavior.

  • The guidelines for the Frostalf language and Dark Speech are described in detail in the Language sections, make sure to study it and put it into practice. Dark Speech comes much faster then one would think! Make sure to print out a copy and keep it next to your computer for quick reference. Frostalf is not a language for the weak, it is quite different from Norse and more of a challenge. To that end there are occasional Frostalf language tutorials and Frostalf words and phrases of the week, to help Lost Frostalfar reacquire their language. It is eloquent and elegant and requires a special quality to speak. All Rahs must be proficient in it. If you have questions please contact a Rah or any senior member and they can assist or give you some practice a bit.

  • Quellar Mithkaldaka behavior means being extremely helpful to House members and cautious of outsiders. We are benevolent and charitable but hold non-House members at arms length. If there are no House members to group with while you are logged in, then you may group with other Midgard players following the guidelines laid out in the Rules of Interaction (RoI) in the members guide.

  • You should never let other people play your QM characters. Quellar Mithkaldaka characters are also only for use within the QM rule set.

  • Personal characters, including any in the House, must remain completely separate at all times. Each of your characters should be regarded with individual identities. For example: Your QM character would not use the house of a non QM character you have on the cluster. No resources or private information would be passed from a non- QM character to a QM character and vice versa. If one of your characters is a Rah but you are currently playing a character that is a Lactur or Usulii, you must act in accordance with that characters rank, personality and identity. It is important to maintain this individuality between your characters not just for the sake of the House, but for your own sake. You've come to Quellar Mithkaldaka to immerse yourself in your imagination. There are many dimensions to you. Explore them all to the fullest!

  • Playing two characters at one time is acceptable only if certain requirements are met. Both characters must be responsive to any direct conversations or interactions and should both be acted out as unique individuals. All characters must be referred to, in and out of game, respectfully as individuals. It is also required to play these characters solo occasionally to build their individual personality.

  • Please contact a Rah in game or offline to arrange for testing and induction of your new Frostalf immediately on creation. It is highly recommended to start a new Quellar Mithkaldaka character to join the House. Though we do have provisions to accept already existing Frostalf characters of high level and repatriation is part of our mandate, greater demands are placed on them to demonstrate their loyalty to the House and desire to serve the Emperor.

  • Members must follow the chain of command.

  • Members must adhere to rules on Surnames.

  • Members must dye armor appropriately.

  • Members must try to not ruin the fun of others. Be respectful of fellow players both in and out of Quellar Mithkaldaka.

  • Members must never intentionally break the Terms of Service of the game or exploit bugs.

  • Members never go /anon unless given express permission by a Rah.

  • Members who have committed their character to Quellar Mithkaldaka must keep their character in the guild. Characters that quit the guild after making the commitment are branded traitors and not welcomed back.
