About the ProjectIn February, we decided that an addition was long over due. There are too many people fighting for the bathroom in the morning! We hired an architect in Concord to create an "initial design" of what a second floor addition on our house would look like. We had been considering an addition over the garage or over the livingroom, diningroom and kitchen.The architect came back with an addition above the "main part of the house" + the familyroom. This new addition would include a Master Bedroom, Bath and Study. The study was HUGE! So we decided it would be better used as an additional bedroom and that we would move the study/office downstairs. The architect could not fit our project into his schedule until the summer and that was later than we wanted. On advice from a contractor, we hired Sandi Cook at Tiro Design to use our "initial design" and create actual drawings from it. She did a great job! We hired Favreau Construction of Danvers to build the addition. Dave Ash is our electrician and Doug Morin is the plumber. Russo Kitchens of Middleton is handling the kitchen updates.
