I recently watched this YouTube video. It reminded me of a humorous off-color Yiddish poem, that appears in the Glossary on this website:

In der Toyre iz geshribn,
Mit a shikse meg men lign.
Lig mit ir a gantse vokh;
Kumt shoyn Shabes --
Vil zi nokh!

Notice that, unlike in the YouTube video, "She wants more" (the last line) is translated as "zi vil nokh!" This poem is real authentic Yiddish. Obviously, the video should have translated "Want more?" as "Vilst nokh?" -- not "Vilst mer." (Otherwise, the video is well done -- very professional!)

Caveat 1 (Nivul-Pe): On this website, "Kosher Yiddish" refers to "Authentic European Yiddish" -- i.e., Yiddish as spoken by Jews born and raised in Eastern Europe prior to World War II.

The word Kosher as used here is intended to mean Authentic. It is NOT intended to mean proper. Indeed, many of the obscene Yiddish expressions that are presented on this website are really NOT kosher (proper) for use by observant Jews. (In that sense, one might call this the "UnKosher" Yiddish Website.)

Caveat 2 (Loshn-Hora): On this website there are essays that castigate the Weinreich Dictionary as well as YIVO's rules for spelling Yiddish. Some people find this highly offensive.
