Academic ability and achievement. Psychodynamics. Stressors and coping strengths and deficits. Motivational difficulties. Learning disabilities and attentional deficits. What is the Value of Assessment? Clarifying what the problem really is. Developing specific recommendations for remediation and treatment. Reduction of associated stress and frustration. Learning Disabilities And Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder We provide a special focus on learning disabilities (LD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). LD and ADHD affect a significant portion of the general population. These disorders often result in an individual experiencing significant problems in learning and an increasingly negative attitude toward work or school. Often, behavioral symptoms such as impulsivity and social skill deficits accompany primary school or work failures, making the problem more complicated. Such individuals will continue to suffer from academic and emotional difficulties until their specific disorders are identified and remediation is initiated. Psychoeducational assessment provides the most efficient means of identifying these difficulties. Fees Fees are based on time spent. Several standardized assessments are offered at special package rates. Health insurance may cover a portion of service. Additional services, such as treatment, are charged separately. |
