Welcome to the cyberspace home of Joan & Elliot Huber of JO-EL'S German Shepherd Dogs.

We began in 1964, like so many other people, in obedience with our family pet. At that time I was very involved in obedience.

In 1988 I bought a bitch from Amber's Kennels which went on to become Ch. Amber's Design (Desi). Thanks Barbara!! As our friendship blossomed, I was able to co-breed a litter with Barbara, that litter produced BOS in Futurity, BOS in Maturity, Ch. Amber's Lady in Red of JO-EL'S, ROM (Red) while her sister on the West Coast went BOS in Futurity with many major winning sisters in the same litter. Besides Red being a great show dog, she showed her producing ability in the whelping box. Red's 1 st breeding was to MV, Sel. Ch. Ken-Delaine's Mastercharge, ROM which produced BIS, BISS Ch Amber's A Cut Above, OFA who is also nearing his ROM. Red's 2 nd breeding was to Sel. Ch. Kohom's Going Places OFA which produced Amber's Echo Domini (12points) and that great producing male, Ch. Amber's Kahlua Creme` OFA, HIT and soon to be a ROM. That litter was repeated which produced Amber's Sweepstakes(pointed) Ch. Amber's Sharon and Amber's Secret (Bubbles) who is alive and well at JO-EL'S.

AND NOW, THE FUTURE ..........This time we aimed straight for the top. JO-EL'S is proud to introduce 2008 Reserve Maturity Dog CHAMPION Ambers Jake The Snake, OFA. Jake is the son of Ch. Ponca Hills Snake, OFA, ROM and Ambers Miss Daisey, ROM. Jake finished in grand style on June 20th 2009 at the Quad Cities shows by going BOB over Sel Champions with Jeff Pyle on the other end of the lead.
