The Team Practice Tournament will be held at Chandler Elementary School in Goshen on February 21, 2009. The doors will open at about 8:00am and we should be finished by about 4:00pm. This will be a fixed-roster, four board team tournament. If you don't know what that is, I suggest you read our Team Tournament FAQ. Even if you do know what it is, you might want check out the FAQ for review.

The tournament is primarily a scholastic team tournament, so everybody has to play with their school, if their school has a team. If your school does not have an official chess club or team, you can still round up some school buddies and enter as a team. If you have no chess-playing friends at your school, you can try to find some other chess players from other schools without teams, and form a team of your own. If you don't have any chess-playing friends to play on a team with you, you can enter the tournament as an individual, and we will try to find a team for you.

Entry fees are $15 per team, or $5 each for those entering as individuals. Goshen coaches do NOT need to send in any money.
