On January 29th, 2006, original members of the legendary Upstage Club came together on the famed stage for the first time since the doors closed in 1971 to film The Last Jam. It was a magical evening for all. Intended to be footage for the soon to be released documentary on
the club by award winning director H. Thomas Jones, this reuniting of old friends led to the
formation of the UPSTAGE JAM BAND. While only uniting on special occasions,
when they do it is always a memorable event.

In 2007 the UPSTAGE JAM
BAND came together again to
support the Monmouth County Friends of Clearwater at the
on August 18th, in Asbury Park NJ.

On a personal note: What can I say? The Tribute on January 27th ,2008 for Johnny Luraschi
was truly exceptional. 14 bands and well over 1000 people turned out to give
their love to one of the Jersey Shore’s finest musicians and great
friend to us all. The music was amazing and the atmosphere was electric. THANK YOU to Eileen and Karen for putting this together, and to ALL the musicians
who brought their best to the show and left their egos at home. You guys really
showed Johnny what he means to us all. And to my fellow UJB
band mates… it’s always an honor to be on the same stage with you guys!
