Inspired Data Solutions was founded by John Purnell in 2004. As the principal consultant, John brings 25 years of technology experience to the customers of Inspired Data Solutions. He has a BSEE in Computer Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and has studied innovation and new product development in post-graduate work.

Mr. Purnell has successfully lead Aviation Security organizations since 9/11/2001, developed mobile wireless systems for the trucking industry, created and managed high speed aviation networks for collaborative computing and implemented countless data and voice communications systems for airlines, airports, and banks.

Mr. Purnell is the inventor of pending patent 20040059953 which deals with the biometric identity management of passengers and workers in air and surface transportation.

Mr. Purnell has been a board member of the IATA Simplifying Passenger Travel Group, representative of the Aviation Coordinating Committee on Telecommunications, and has spoken nationally and internationally many times on areas of transportation technology, business process, and security.

Mr. Purnell has served as an officer and board member of several technology companies.
