The 'Cuda did not require a "Frame Off" restoration.

Here you can see the tail panel after I repaired it

The body and frame were in solid shape so I opted not to do a frame off resto. My end goal for this car was that I wanted it to be a real contender in the local Car Show circuit. Keeping that in mind I knew that the more careful of a job I could do during the disassembly phase the better off I'd be when I finally got the car to the body and paint shop. Some of the molding was in good enough shape but most would have to be replaced. The grill was in desperate need of a resto and that I took on myself. The rear bumper would need to be re-chromed, while I opted to replace the front bumper with a new one. Additionally I removed the mirrors and sent them off for re-chroming as well. I hated the current color of the car but had yet to decide what color I wanted to paint it. Being a stickler for an immaculate engine bay I was extra careful to make sure this area would get a good finish during the repaint. None of the pictures show it but both doors were loaded with dings from being hit by other car doors and they were extremely wavy. The interior was in pretty good shape thanks to Mitch's resto but it did need some minor work such as new door panels, dashboard repair and other interior panel refinishing. During this phase I also purchased a brand new 360/395 Crate motor which was patiently waiting it's new home.
