Too bad about that drill press in the background; it's one of the few electric tools in the place.
Most of the machines are driven from lineshafts, and the lineshafts are driven by a single water motor. The motor is not large (less than 3 feet in diameter), but there is a 200 foot head. Only a few machines have their own motors.) You can see the lineshafts in the background; there's a belt just above my head in this photo.
