John was living in Arizona(we
live in Ohio) so we got that phone call no family EVER wants to get! It was the day after Christmas but, seems like
yesturday!!!!
My son John lost his life
in December 2007 to acute toxicity of prescription drugs(not his medicine) and it was accidental in the sense he was just
trying to get HIGH not DIE!! He was a great kid and a nice young man, he just took the wrong road and never found his
way home.We are left with a giant hole in our hearts and our family. To help us heal we would like to help others in
need and continue what John started; rescuing unwanted or abused Reptiles.
His love of reptiles and the
crocheted afghans I made him have given us a way of doing this: Blankets4Giving & Refuge4Reptiles. I will be
making afghans for sale and we will use the money to fund these 2 projects. I will be making afghans to donate to Homeless
Shelters & Rehab Centers. We will be making monetary donations to Reptile Shelters that are open and need funding.....
