12/08 Another busy busy year has passed and I'm home on vacation til January! We just changed services over to Verizon, so am updating pages and links. Too much overtime has left no real time for web page upkeep, and very little genealogy work; but here's hoping for the New Year to bring me a little more time to work on these pages and the family research. More to come! Happy New Year to all!
06/07 It's been 18 months since I spent any time on these pages... between work and home improvements there just doesn't seem to be time for much else! I've added new links and cleaned out old ones. Since the last time I wrote we've replaced all the raised beds in the veggie garden, put in all new plumbing lines (PEX is great!!), stripped our bedroom, patched, repainted, and replaced the ceiling. I'm hoping the kitchen will be next, but the windows are showing quite a bit of wear and tear now. We're very thankful that everyone is healthy (both humans and cats), and that summer is right around the corner. We had quite a mild winter, but got a late blast of cold and ice in March, delaying the gardening start a few weeks. But now everything is growing well, although some of the neighborhood cats have located some of the catnip and are rubbing it down to stubs. Please browse around and see what's new, enjoy the warm weather and relax!
01/06 Happy New Year! It's been quite awhile since I last updated these pages ... was a whirlwind summer and fall getting DD ready for college! Now that she's all settled and has completed her first sememster, life has settled down to it's typical semi-chaotic pace. We lost our oldest cat last fall and the house seemed so empty we adopted a 5 month old Maine Coon (mainly) who is growing into a wonderful handful. We weighed Rhys in December and he was almost 12 lb!! He doesn't turn 1 yr until April, so we'll have to see how big he's gotten. Have spent this weekend going through all the gardening catalogs and updating my inventory... not too much longer and it'll be time to start seeds. The biggest news is we booked our 25th anniversary trip to Puerto Vallarta. Just another 3 months and about 2 wk and we'll be sitting on the beach sipping drinks, relaxing and being waited on ...........cannot wait for that; I'm ready to leave now!!
05/05 Well the garden is finally in! We've had such a cool spring, I just took my "Wall's of Water" off the tomatoes last weekend! The azaelas are finishing up their colors, the iris are blooming, and my clematis has buds. DH and I have almost finished extending our stone patio under the deck - just need to fill in with a little more mortar... YEAH (flagstones are heavy!). DD had her Senior Prom and her boyfriend's senior prom is coming up next week. They both looked wonderful all dressed up. Graduation is two weeks away, and then college this fall. I can't quite understand how all the years have flown by so fast!
I ran the link check and got rid of some baddies... also added a few new ones here and there. May everyone have a wonderful summer!
02/05 It's February already and time to start my seeds! Since I put my tomatoes and peppers out in plant protectors I plant them at the end of March and have something to eat my Memorial Day. Some of my bulbs are 3" up already with this crazy warm-cold weather we're having. Guess they'll be ok.
I've added a few new links and fixed some bad ones. I've managed to start getting back to updating my genealogy page, and hope to get more done before it's gardening weather full time.
01/05 Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a great holiday season and that 2005 brings a good year to all. I know this will be a year of change, with DD graduating and turning 18 this fall.
11/04 Finally!! All pages have been re-coded and updated to be more compliant with today's browsers.
10/04 DD turned 17... where has the time gone?
10/04 Hurricane season ended and we didn't get slammed!
08/04 DD got accepted into the work study program so we got her own car.
05/04 Our kitty family has grown to five now. We have the 3 girls, Nissa, Cinnamon, and Gypsy, and the 2 boys, Taz and Mac. I'll get pics uploaded sometime this year hopefully.
