THE BIBLE IS TRUE.
JESUS IS GOD.
YOUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN.

<>< <>< <>< <>< <><
"Although you're tired and weary Just rest the whole night through As God gives us the mornings To see all things anew.
For things look so much brighter When they're slept on a while You wake up in the morning And soon you want to smile.
You look and see the sunshine The bright blue sky above You wonder why you fretted And you know God is love.
With all this to surround you There's naught but this to say And so with song you praise Him Give thanks for this new day.
Yes, God has all the answers To problems big and small We only have to tell Him He's at our beck and call.
So we must take our burdens And lay them at His feet Then trust unto His wisdom That all our needs He'll meet."
(Mary E. Harrington)

"The apostle Paul wrote several letters during his years of house arrest, one of which was addressed to a group of Christians living in Philippi. It is an amazing letter, made even more remarkable by its recurring theme - joy. Think of it! Written by a man who had known excruciating hardship and pain, living in a restricted setting chained to a Roman soldier, the letter to the Philippians resounds with joy!
Attitudes of joy and contentment are woven through the tapesty of these 104 verses like threads of silver. Rather than wallowing in self-pity or calling on his friends to help him escape or at least find relief from these restrictions, Paul sent a surprisingly lighthearted message.
As I attempt to find some secret clue to his joy, I have to conclude that it was his confidence in God. To Paul, God was in full control of everything. Everything!"
(Charles S. Swindoll - Laugh Again - Experience Outrageous Joy)

"We should keep the Gospel simple, not mystic, and be careful to speak to the present need. There is a danger of belaboring the Scripture instead of just delivering it. "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away."
"Long after man has had his say, the Word of God will still be standing. In view of this, we ought to spend more time with it."
"The Word of God has been proofread in Heaven, and its promises are ready for everyone on earth. Read and believe. He will not go back on His Word."
"Take His Word to heart. It points the way to the abundant life and eternal life."
"A person should not only study the Bible for what they can get out of it, but for what it can get out of them."
"The Bible is a map to peace, happiness, and Heaven. Follow it and you will have a safe journey. Wander from it and you are in trouble. Discover God in His Word."
"...read God's Word. If we only knew the benefits of the Bible, nothing could keep us from it. "Your Word is truth."

"...ye might have life through His name." (John 20:31)
"Is life worth living?" To scores of people life has ceased to be worth living. To all of you I have good news. God did not create you to be a defeated, discouraged, frustrated, wandering soul, seeking in vain for peace of heart and peace of mind. He has bigger plans for you. He has a larger orb and a greater life for you. The answer to your problem, however great, it as near as your Bible, as simple as first-grade arithmetic, and as real as your heartbeat. Upon the authority of God's Word, I tell you that Christ is the answer to every baffling perplexity which plagues mankind. In Him is found the cure for care, a balm for bereavement, a healing for our hurts, and a sufficiency for our insufficiency."
"Teach me, Lord, as today I read Your Word, that the life You would have me live is one of joy and fulfillment."

"God is present everywhere and always,
so He can be worshiped at any time,
in any place. The key is to worship
Him with sincerity and honesty. John
4:23-24 highlights the importance of
genuine worship.
'But the time is coming and is already
here when true worshipers will worship
the Father in spirit and in truth. The
Father is looking for anyone who will
worship Him that way. For God is Spirit,
so those who worship Him must worship in
spirit and in truth.'
(New Living Translation)
Worship draws our eyes off of ourselves,
and focuses our hearts on God. He alone
is holy and awesome - He deserves our
praise and worship. Hebrews 12:28 reveals
that our worship pleases God.
'Since we are receiving a kingdom that
cannot be destroyed, let us be thankful
and please God by worshiping Him with
holy fear and awe.'"
(New Living Translation)

"Blessed are those who have not seen and
yet have believed."
(John 20:29) (New International Version)
"How important it is for God to keep us
focused on things that are unseen, for we
are so easily snared by the things we can
see! If Peter was ever going to walk on
the water, he had to walk, but if he was
going to swim to Jesus, he had to swim.
He could not do both. If a bird is going
to fly, it must stay away from fences and
trees, trusting the buoyancy of its wings.
And if it tries to stay within easy reach
of the ground, it will never fly very well.
God had to bring Abraham to the end of his
own strength and let him see that with his
own body he could do nothing. He had to
consider his own body 'as good as dead'
(Heb. 11:12) and then trust God to do all
the work. When he looked away from himself
and trusted only God, he became 'fully pur-
suaded that God had power to do what He had
promised'. (Rom. 4:21).
This is what God is teaching us, and He has
to keep results that are encouraging away
from us until we learn to trust Him without
them. Then He loves to make His Word as
real to us in actuality as it is in our faith."
(A. B. Simpson - Streams In The Desert)

"I do not ask that He must prove
His Word is true to me,
And that before I can believe
He first must let me see.
It is enough for me to know
It's true because He says it's so;
On His unchanging Word I'll stand
And trust till I can understand."
(E. M. Winter - Streams In The Desert)

ALWAYS CHECK YOUR MAIL

Ruth went to her mail box and there was only one letter. She picked it up and looked at it before opening; but then she looked at the envelope again.
There was no stamp, no postmark, only her name and address. She read the letter:

Dear Ruth:
I'm going to be in your neighborhood Saturday afternoon and I'd like to stop by for a visit.
Love Always,
Jesus

Her hands were shaking as she placed the letter on the table.. 'Why would the Lord want to visit me? I'm nobody special.  I don't have anything to offer.'
With that thought, Ruth remembered her empty kitchen cabinets.
'Oh my goodness, I really don't have anything to offer. I'll have to run down to the store and buy something for dinner.'
She reached for her purse and counted out its contents.  Five dollars and forty cents. 'Well, I can get some bread and cold cuts, at least.'
She threw on her coat and hurried out the door.
A loaf of French bread, a half-pound of sliced turkey, and a carton of milk... leaving Ruth with a grand total of twelve cents to last her until Monday..
Nonetheless, she felt good as she headed home, her meager offerings tucked under her arm.

'Hey lady, can you help us,lady?'
Ruth had been so absorbed in her dinner plans, she hadn't even noticed two figures huddled in the alleyway. A man and a woman, both of them dressed in little more than rags.
'Look lady, I ain't got a job, you know; and my wife and I have been living out here on the street; and well, now it's getting cold, and we're getting kinda hungry; and, well, if you could help us, Lady, we'd really appreciate it.'
Ruth looked at them both.  They were dirty; they smelled bad; and frankly, she was certain that they could get some kind of work if they really wanted to.
'Sir, I'd like to help you, but I'm a poor woman myself.  All I have is a few cold cuts and some bread; and I'm having an important guest for dinner tonight, and I was planning on serving that to Him.'
'Yeah, well, okay lady, I understand.  Thanks anyway.'
The man put his arm around the woman's shoulders, turned, and headed back into the alley.
As she watched them leave, Ruth felt a familiar twinge in her heart.
'Sir, wait!'
The couple stopped and turned as she ran down the alley after them.
'Look, why don't you take this food..I'll figure out something else to serve my guest.'
She handed the man her grocery bag.
'Thank you lady.  Thank you very much!'
'Yes, thank you!'  It was the man's wife, and Ruth could see now that she was shivering.
'You know, I've got another coat at home. Here, why don't you take this one.'
Ruth unbuttoned her jacket and slipped it over the woman's shoulders.
Then smiling, she turned and walked back to the street...without her coat and with nothing to serve her guest.
'Thank you lady!  Thank you very much!"
Ruth was chilled by the time she reached her front door,and worried too.
The Lord was coming to visit and she didn't have anything to offer Him.
She fumbled through her purse for the door key.
But as she did, she noticed another envelope in her mailbox.
'That's odd.
The mailman doesn't usually come twice in one day.'

Dear Ruth:

It was so good to see you again.
Thank you for the lovely meal.
And thank you, too, for the beautiful coat.

Love Always,
Jesus

The air was still cold, but even without her coat, Ruth no longer noticed.

"O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit or stand. When far away you know my every thought. You chart the path ahead of me, and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment, you know where I am. You know what I am going to say before I even say it. You both precede and follow me and place your hand of blessing on my head."
"This is too glorious, too wonderful to believe! I can never be lost to your Spirit! I can never get away from my God! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the place of the dead, you are there. If I ride the morning winds to the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, your strength will support me. If I try to hide in the darkness, the night becomes light around me. For even darkness cannot hide from God; to you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are both alike to you."
(Psalm 139:1-12) (The Living Bible)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "He who deals wisely and heeds [God's] word and counsel shall find good, and whoever leans on, trusts in, and is confident in the Lord - happy, blessed, and fortunate is he."
(Proverbs 16:20) (The Amplified Bible)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is much in our nature that perplexes us. Many people are disturbed as they confront the troubling riddle of their own existence. They are bewildered by their proneness to sin and evil. They quake and tremble at the thought of their inability to cope with their own lives. Christ can give you satisfying answers to such questions as 'Who am I?''Why was I born?' 'What am I doing here?' 'Where am I going?' All of the great questions of life can be measured when you come by faith to Jesus Christ and receive Him as your Lord. Let Him be your Pilot. He can take away the worry from your life."

"It is not a difficult matter to learn what it means to delight ourselves in the Lord. It is to live so as to please Him, to honor everything we find in His Word, to do everything the way He would like to have it done, and for Him." (S. Maxwell Coder)
"And Satan trembles when he sees the weakest saint upon his knees."
"The condition of an enlightened mind is a surrendered heart." (Alan Redpath)
"Thy way, not mine, O lord,
However dark it be!
Lead me by thine own hand;
Choose thou the path for me.
Smooth let it be or rough,
It will be still the best;
Winding or straight, it leads
Right onward to thy rest.
I dare not choose my lot;
I would not if I might;
Choose thou for me, my God:
So shall I walk aright.
Take thou my cup, and it
With joy or sorrow fill,
As best to thee may seem;
Choose thou my good and ill.
Choose thou for me my friends,
My sickness or my health;
Choose thou my cares for me,
My poverty or wealth.
Not mine, not mine the choice,
In things or great or small;
Be thou my guide, my strength,
My wisdom, and my all."
