"God is too wise to be mistaken. God is too good
to be unkind. And when you can't trace His hand, Trust His heart." (Charles H. Spurgeon) ***********************************
"When the frosts are in the valley, And
the mountaintops are gray, And the choicest blooms are blighted, And the blossoms die away, A loving Father whispers,
'This all comes from my hand'; Blessed are you if you trust When you cannot understand. If, after years of
toiling, Your wealth should fly away And leave your hands all empty, And your hair is turning gray, Remember
then your Father Owns all the sea and land; Blessed are you if you trust When you cannot understand." (Taken
from Streams In The Desert) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"So I tell you, don't worry about everyday
life - whether you have enough food, drink,
and clothes. Doesn't life consist of more than
food and clothing? Look at the birds. They don't
need to plant or harvest or put food in barns
because your heavenly Father feeds them. And you
are far more valuable to Him than they are. Can
all your worries add a single moment to your life?
Of course not.
And why worry about your clothes? Look at the
lillies and how they grow. They don't work or
make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory
was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And
if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are
here today and gone tomorrow, won't He more surely
care for you? You have so little faith."
(Matthew 6:25-30) (New Living Translation)
"Jesus tells us not to worry about those needs
that God promises to supply. Worry may
(1) damage your health, (2) disrupt your
productivity, (3) negatively affect the way
you treat others, and (4) reduce your ability
to trust in God. How many ill effects of
worry are you experiencing? The difference
between worry and genuine concern is clear:
Worry immobilizes, but concern moves you to
action."
"So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will
bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough
for today." (Matthew 6:34) (New Living Translation)
"Planning for tomorrow is time well spent;
worrying about tomorrow is time wasted.
Worriers are consumed by fear and find it
difficult to trust God. They let their
plans interfere with their relationship
with God. Don't let worries about
tomorrow affect your relationship with
God today."
"These things dominate the thoughts of most people,
but your Father already knows your needs. He will
give you all you need fom day to day if you make
the Kingdom of God your primary concern."
(Luke 12:30-31) (New Living Translation)
"Making the Kingdom of God your primary
concern means making Jesus the Lord and
King of your life. He must control every
area - your work, play, plans, and rela-
tionships. Is the Kingdom only one of
your many concerns, or is it central to
all you do? Are you holding back any areas
of your life from God's control? As Lord
and Creator, He wants to help provide what
you need as well as guide you in using what
He provides."
"Don't be afraid of those who want to kill you.
They can only kill your body; they cannot touch
your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both
soul and body in hell. Not even a sparrow,
worth only half a penny, can fall to the ground
without your Father knowing it. And the very
hairs on your head are all numbered. So don't
be afraid; you are more valuable to Him than a
whole flock of sparrows."
(Matthew 10:28-31) (New Living Translation)
"Jesus said that God is aware of everything
that happens even to sparrows, and you are
far more valuable to Him than they are.
You are so valuable that God sent His only
Son to die for you. Because God places
such value on you, you need never fear
personal threats or difficult trials.
These can't shake God's love or dislodge
His Spirit from within you.
But this doesn't mean that God will take
away all your troubles. The real test of
strength is how well something holds up
under the wear, tear, and stress of
everyday life. Those who stand up for
Christ in spite of their troubles will
receive great rewards."

A Well-Done Compliment
"The customer called the waiter over and said, while pointing to his steak,
'Didn't I tell you, 'Well done'?' The waiter replied, 'Thank you, Sir; I seldom get a compliment.'

"...when troubles come...sing His praises with much
joy." (Psalm 27:5,6) (The Living Bible) "Christians are not altogether immune from depression. The fact is: the trend
of events and the mounting tide of evil are enough to give one sobering thoughts - Christian or not. David, the sweet singer
of Israel, was not always on top of his depression. Sometimes his gay, glad song was turned to a depressive mourning. 'My
tears have been my meat day and night, while continually they say unto me, Where is thy God? Why art thou cast down,
O my soul, and why art thou disquieted in me?'
I find that the cure for depression is praise. In other words: be so busy counting your
blessings, that thoughts of gloom and despair will be crowded out." (Day By Day With Billy Graham) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I don't care how hopeless your situation may seem. It's not any worse than the problem
Jairus faced (Mark 5:22-43). This man lost his girl, and Jesus said, 'Don't be afraid, don't give up. Only believe!'
What a powerful word of encouragement! Jairus must have been elated as life returned to the body of his little
daughter. Just moments before, his heart had been pounding with anxiety, grief, and uncertainty. But then Jesus
stepped into the midst of Jairus' emotional storm and said, 'Don't give up, it's not over yet. I'm still here. Everything
is going to be all right!' You, too, must not give up, because Jesus Christ has won the victory on your behalf
as well. And as long as He has won that victory...as long as He is the victor...what are you worried about?" (Benny
Hinn - The Miracle of Healing) ************************************************
"Let me tell you what I see happening in this
hour, and then you may understand better why I believe this is the church's greatest hour. I have been trying
to acquaint you with the Holy Ghost, the mighty power of the Trinity. He has never worked separate and apart from
the Father or the Son. All three members of the Trinity work in perfect harmony and in conjunction one with the
other. We are living in a marvelous hour when God is pouring out of His Spirit as never before, just prior to the
moment when the Holy Spirit will leave this earth. This glorious outpouring began when Jesus came up out of the
waters of baptism and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him, and the Father Himself spoke, 'This is my beloved son in
whom I am well pleased.' In that moment, the Holy Spirit came upon Jesus, anointing Him and filling Him and equipping
Him with power for the glorious miracles that happened in His ministry here on earth. Jesus did not do those miracles
as a member of the Godhead and in the strength of the Son of God. It was by the power of the Holy Spirit! Jesus was
well aware of that fact, for He allowed Himself to be limited by human flesh. Therefore, before He returned to
the Father, He gave the promise to send to the church the greatest gift possible for Him to give: the power of the
Holy Spirit! 'And ye shall receive power'...the same power that was manifested through His life as He lived in
the flesh. Please hear me. I beg of you, do not be afraid of the Holy Spirit! If Jesus could trust the Holy Spirit
- and Jesus had everything to lose - surely you and I can trust Him now. If Jesus could stake everything He had on
this mighty Third Person of the Trinity, then surely you and I can accept Him. I have known pastors who have said,
'I have an influential church. I have an influential Board, influential people in my congregation. What will they
say? Can I take their criticism?' I challenge you: do not look at the cost. Dare to be obedient to the convicting
power of the Holy Spirit and look up and say, 'I want God's best!' The Holy Spirit is about to leave this earth
and He will take the church, this glorious body of believers, with Him. The bride of Christ will soon go to meet
the Bridegroom. The only restraining force against unrighteous- ness in the world today is the Holy Spirit, and I
would not want to be in the world for even five minutes after the Holy Spirit leaves. Yes, the Holy Spirit is getting
Jesus' bride ready to meet Him, and this living body of believers is being perfected. As we see the Holy Spirit
poured out in a beautiful and unusual way, we are witnessing a glorious scene: God is restoring all the gifts
of the Spirit, and that is the reason for greater and greater miracles. No human power can bring healing to a sick
body. Kathryn Kuhlman has nothing to do with the miracles of healing that are taking place in this ministry. No
one is more awed than I am, for I know better than anyone else that I have nothing to do with these miraculous
healings. This great outpouring of the Holy Spirit - as well as the miracles - goes beyond the realm of faith, for
I have seen scores of people healed who did not have one ounce of faith. This is an hour of unprecedented mercy
and great love, a time when the tenderness of the Holy Spirit is melting hearts, healing bodies, coming upon believers
and unbelievers alike as they sit in the services. Often they do not really understand what is happening. Some- times
the experience can be likened to a great heat, a strange and different kind of heat, a consuming and burning heat.
Some- times it can be compared to a gentle and cool breeze. What is taking place is without explantion and all
I can say is this: it is the work of the Holy Spirit! My prayer for you is simply that this glorious communion
of the Holy Spirit (without which I could not live one hour) shall come upon you in a special way as your will and
your life become one with God's perfect will. I know that each of us only begins to live when we know Him in the
power of the Spirit, and I challenge you to begin that life now, a life of yieldedness and surrender to Jesus Christ."
(Kathryn Kuhlman - Lord, Teach Us To Pray) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
"For He whom God hath sent speaketh the words of
God, for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto Him' (John 3:34). Our Lord's ministry covers all periods of time
and all necessity. Great men have been raised for special times. They have performed a special mission. Jesus trancends
them all. You cannot measure Jesus. You cannot put a date on Him. You cannot place Him in some special category. He
breaks every measurement. He is not confined to biography. The flight of years have not exhausted His energies.
Every day He accomplishes more. The advent of new thoughts has not tarnished His freshness. He is never outdated.
The change in public taste has not marred His beauty. The fading of past theologies has not diminished His glory.
He is not superannuated by time. 'Jesus Christ our forerunner.' No one will ever surpass Him. Jesus speaks to
me of the time when I shall be free of creeds, calendars, conditions. He will carry me beyond systems. Even now He
furnishes me with what cannot be measured - a peace that passeth all understanding, love that passeth knowledge,
joy that cannot be contained. What a marvelous future! Before me stretch bound- less hope, His endless love, and His
never- ending mercy. I shall know an eternity of beauty and glory! Praise the Lord!" (C. M. Ward - The Holy Spirit)
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
"Approaching God is a simple matter. 'Lord,
have mercy,' is a proper approach. 'Help me, Jesus,' is a prayer we sometimes have to pray. Sometimes when you
can't remember the model, you just say, 'Lord.' This matter of prayer is just man talking to God. It's so phonomenal
- it's hard to believe that God and I are on speaking terms. Have you ever thought about that? Some of you have
never spoken to the mayor of the city, but you are completely able to speak to God. It blows my mind that
someone as sinful as I can go before the throne of God - and He hears me. That's wonderful. That's marvelous.
The One who created the heavens and the earth is talking with a sinner such as I. I don't even have to worry about
how many others are talking to Him at the same time. He doesn't have a party line. He's so much God that He can
hold a conversation with me right here, somebody in India right now, and somebody in Kenya right now. No matter
how full the church is, God can hear every prayer that's uttered in the same instant." (E. V. Hill - Victory In
Jesus) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
"Do you wonder where you can go for encouragement and
motivation? Go back to that moment when you first saw the love of Jesus Christ. Remember the day when you were
separated from Christ? You knew only guilt and confusion and then - a light. Someone opened a door and light came
into your darkness, and you said in your heart, 'I am redeemed!' Run to Jesus. Jesus wants you to go to Him. He
wants to become the most important person in your life, the greatest love you'll ever know. He wants you to love
Him so much that there's no room in your heart and in your life for sin. Invite Him to take up residence in your
heart." (Max Lucado - Grace For The Moment)
