************************ "God's Love" by Helen Steiner
Rice
"God's love is like an island In life's ocean vast and wide - A peaceful, quiet shelter From the
restless, rising tide... God's love is like an anchor When the angry billows roll - A mooring in the storms of
life, A stronghold for the soul... God's love is like a fortress And we seek protection there When the waves
of tribulation Seem to drown us in despair... God's love is like a harbor Where our souls can find sweet rest
From the struggle and the tension Of life's fast and futile quest... God's love is like a beacon Burning bright
with faith and prayer And through the changing scenes of life We can find a haven there!" ***********************************
"My prayer for you is simply that this
glorious communion of the Holy Spirit (without which I could not live one hour) shall come upon you in a special way as your
will and your life become one with God's perfect will. I know that each of us only begins to live when we know Him in the
power of the Spirit, and I challenge you to begin that life now, a life of yieldedness and surrender to Jesus Christ." (Kathryn
Kuhlman - Lord, Teach Us To Pray)

"The Eye of the Storm"
"Fear not that the whirlwind
will carry you hence, Nor wait for its onslaught in breathless suspense, Nor shrink from the blight of the terrible
hail, But pass through the edge to the heart of the tale, For there is a shelter, sunlighted and warm, And Faith
sees her God through the eye of the storm. The passionate tempest with rush and wild roar And threatenings of evil
may beat on the shore, The waves may be mountains, the fields battle plains, And the earth be immersed in a deluge
of rains, Yet, the soul, stayed on God, may sing bravely its psalm, For the heart of the storm is the center of calm.
Let hope be not quenched in the blackness of night, Though the cyclone awhile may have blotted the light, For
behind the great darkness the stars ever shine, And the light of God's heavens, His love will make thine, Let no gloom
dim your eyes, but uplift them on high To the face of your God and the blue of His sky. The storm is your shelter
from danger and sin, And God Himself takes you for safety within; The tempest with Him passes into deep calm, And
the roar of the winds is the sound of a psalm. Be glad and serene when the tempest clouds form; God smiles on His
child in the eye of the storm." (Taken from Streams In The Desert)
!!!!! "My Resolution" (Author Unknown)
"I
won't look back; God knows the fruitless efforts, The wasted hours, the sinning, the regrets; I'll leave them
all with Him who blots the record, And mercifully forgives and then forgets. I won't look forward; God sees all the
future, The road that, short or long, will lead me home, And He will face with me its every trial, And bear with
me the burdens that may come. But I'll look up - into the face of Jesus, For there my heart can rest, my fears are
stilled; And there is joy and love, and light for darkness, And perfect peace, and every hope fulfilled." !!!!!!
"The ark of the covenant
of the LORD went before them." (Numbers 10:33) (New International Version) "God sometimes does influence us with a simple
touch or feeling, but not so we would act on the feeling. If the touch is from Him, He will then provide sufficient
evidence to confirm it beyond the slightest doubt. Consider the beautiful story of Jeremiah, when he felt God leading
him to purchase the field at Anathoth. He did not act on his initial feeling but waited for God to completely fulfill His
words to him before taking action. Then once his cousin came to him, bringing the external evidence of God's direction by
making a proposal for the purchase, he responded and said, 'I KNEW THAT THIS WAS THE WORD OF THE LORD' (Jer. 32:8). Jeremiah
waited until God confirmed his feeling through a providential act, and then he worked with a clear view of the facts, which
God could also use to bring conviction to others. God wants us to act only once we have His mind on a certain situation. We
are not to ignore the Shepherd's personal voice to us, but like 'Paul and his companions' (Acts 16:6) at Troas, we are
to listen and also examine His providential work in our circumstances, in order to glean the full mind of the Lord."
(A. B. Simpson - Streams In The Desert)
"WHEREVER GOD'S FINGER POINTS, HIS HAND WILL CLEAR A WAY."
"Never
say in your heart what you will or will not do but wait until God reveals His way to you. As long as that way is hidden,
it is clear that there is no need of action and that HE HOLDS HIMSELF ACCOUNTABLE FOR ALL THE RESULTS OF KEEPING
YOU EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE." "FOR GOD THROUGH WAYS WE HAVE NOT KNOWN, WILL LEAD HIS OWN." (L. B. Cowman - Streams
In The Desert)

"Proverbs 1:7 reveals the first step
in finding wisdom: fear of the Lord. He is the source of all wisdom. 'Fear of the LORD is the beginning of
knowledge. Only fools despise wisdom and discipline.' (New Living Translation) God's wisdom is very different
than the world's wisdom. First Corinthians 2:5-7 teaches that the 'secret wisdom of God' is the message of salvation.
We begin to receive God's wisdom when we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior. 'I did this so that you might trust
the power of God rather than human wisdom. Yet when I am among mature Christians, I do speak with words of wisdom,
but not the kind of wisdom that belongs to this world, and not the kind that appeals to the rulers of this world,
who are being brought to nothing. No, the wisdom we speak of is the secret wisdom of God, which was hidden in
former times, though He made it for our benefit before the world began.' (New Living Translation) James
1:5 offers hope to everyone thirsting for wisdom. James, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, promises us
that God is eager to give us wisdom. The only thing we need to do is ask in faith. 'If you need wisdom - if you
want to know what God wants you to do - ask Him, and He will gladly tell you. He will not resent your asking.'
(New Living Translation) Doubts assail like gale-force winds, tossing us this way and that. We wonder what
to do, which way to turn, what direction to take. We may even question our faith, doubting God's goodness or even
that He is there. Like night storms, difficult circum- stances terrify us, confuse us, and fill us with anxiety.
But God's truth cuts through the darkness like the powerful beam from a lighthouse, providing warning, direction,
security, and hope. We aren't abandoned to our doubts and uncertainties; God tells us to ask Him for wisdom,
and He will answer...'gladly'. Do you want to know what to do? Do you desire to follow God's way? Do you need His
wisdom for the decisions you face? Just ask in faith. He promises to give you His wisdom." (Taken From Living Water

(( )) "This Life of Mine" by Vera J. Davis
"This
life of mine Can nothing be If I don't give it, Lord, to Thee; For only Thou Canst see ahead How rough the way
That I must tread. And, only Thou New life can give When I have lost The will to live; When hope has died And
dreams have fled, When o'er the wreck My tears are shed. Oh, take it, Lord, This life of mine, And fill it with
Thy love divine; For only Thou Dost know the way That leads me to Eternal Day!" )) ((
"The Gift of Grace...
'Those
who find me find life, and the LORD will be pleased with them.' (Proverbs 8:35) Grace is created by God and given to man...On
the basis of this point alone, Christianity, is set apart from any other religion in the world...Every other approach to God
is a bartering system; if I do this, God will do that. I'm either saved by works (what I do), emotions (what I experience),
or knowledge (what I know). By contrast, Christianity has no whiff of negotiation at all. Man is not the negotiator; indeed,
man has no grounds from which to negotiate." (Max Lucado - Grace For The Moment)
~~~~~~~~~~~ "The Path" by Colette Fedor
"God's
wisdom is within us Showing us the way, To live each day for Him alone And from the path not stray. The path
is strewn with many thorns And snares to block our way, But these are only stepping stones To teach us how to
pray. It's for His will, not ours you see That we are meant to be, And every prayer is one more step On the
pathway to be free."
"It is God himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus; and long ages ago He planned
that we should spend these lives in helping others." (Ephesians 2:10)
(The Living Bible) "Happiness and
all of the unlimited benefits which flow from the storehouse of heaven are contingent upon our relationship to God. Absolute
dependency and absolute yieldedness are the conditions of being His child. Only His children are entitled to receive those
things that lend themselves to happiness; and in order to be His child, there must be the surrender of the will to Him. We
must admit we are poor before we can be made rich. We must admit we are destitute before we can become children of adoption.
When we realize that all our own goodness is as filthy rags in God's sight, and become aware of the destructive power of our
stubborn wills; when we realize our absolute dependence upon the grace of God through faith and nothing more, then we have
started on the road to happiness. Man does not come to know God through works - he comes to know God by faith through grace.
You cannot work your way toward happiness and heaven, you cannot moralize your way, you cannot reform your way, you cannot
buy your way. It comes as a gift of God through Christ." (Taken from Day By Day With Billy Graham" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~ "This Peace He Gives" by Alice
Hansche Mortenson
"I know not why my pathway leads Through valleys rough and steep, But this I know, while
walking there I've found communion sweet With those I love, and, best of all, With Him who climbed the hill That
led to Calvary. I know not why so many props Have gently been removed, But I do know through every loss His
arms unfailing proved. I have no reason, none at all, To doubt His precious Word; Though all I love be swept away,
His voice would still be heard Above the storm and, as I lift My tear-filled eyes to Him, The great Creator,
Lord of all, He whispers, 'Peace," within. So as I look beyond today, I pray that I may share This peace He
gives with those who have A greater cross to bear. I know not now how long 'twill be Before He calls me home,
But this I know - beneath His wings I'll never be alone!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
