(Philippians 4:8) (New King James Version)
"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things."
(I Corinthians 13: 4-7) (New King James Version)
"Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

"Kindness provides a house, but love makes a home.

Kindness packs an adequate lunch, but love puts a note of encouragement inside.

Kindness provides a television set or computer as a learning aid, but love controls the remote control and cares enough to insist a child "sign off".

Kindness sends a child to bed on time, but love tucks the covers around a child's neck and provides a goodnight hug and kiss.

Kindness cooks a meal, but love selects the "your favorite foods" menu and lights the candles.

Kindness writes a thank-you note, but love thinks to include a joke or photograph or bookmark inside the envelope.

Kindness keeps a clean and tidy house, but love adds a bouquet of fresh flowers.

Kindness pours a glass of milk, but love occasionally adds a little chocolate sauce.

Kindness is doing what is decent, basic, courteous, and necessary for an even, smooth, and gentle flow of life.

Love is taking the extra step to make life truly exciting, creative, and meaningful! Love is what makes things special."

"I can't understand it. I honestly cannot.
Why did Jesus [die on the cross]? Oh, I know,
I know. I have heard the official answers.
'To gratify the old law.' 'To fulfill prophecy.'
And these answers are right. They are. But
there is something more here. Something very
compassionate. Something yearning. Something
personal.   What is it?
Could it be that His heart was broken for all
the people who cast despairing eyes toward the
dark heavens and cry the same 'Why?' Could it
be that His heart was broken for the hurting?...
I imagine Him, bending close to those who hurt.
I imagine Him listening. I picture His eyes
misting and a pierced hand brushing away a tear...
He who also was once alone, understands."
(Max Lucado - Grace For The Moment)

"Life is miraculous and mysterious.
Genesis 2:7 reveals that our bodies are
'dust' until God chooses to breath life
into us. He alone is the giver of life!
'And the LORD God formed a man's body
from the dust of the ground and breathed
into it the breath of life. And the man
became a living person.'
(New Living Translation)
God gives physical life as well as spiritual life. Isaiah 55:1-2 describes the nourishment God provides for the soul.
'Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink - even
if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk - it's all free! Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen, and I will tell you where to get food that is good for the soul!' (New Living Translation)
When Nicodemus came to Jesus searching for
spiritual truth, Jesus explained to him that he needed to be 'born again'. John 13:3 teaches us that real life comes through repentance and spiritual rebirth.
'Jesus replied, 'I assure you, unless you
are born again, you can never see the Kingdom of God.' (New Living Translation)

Imagine a bright oasis with tall palms, clear springs, and abundant food and drink. Offering satisfaction and even life, this cherished spot in the sands would draw hungry and thirsty desert wanderers. Desperate and needy, they would expend
every ounce of strength to get there.
Just as dry throats and parched lips yearn for drink, and empty stomachs and starved bodies cry for food, spiritually starved and thirsty men and women strain toward sustenance. And like a glorious oasis, God's Word gives hope. God offers satisfaction, renewal, real soul food -
life. Other offers entice, but they prove to be mirages. This oasis is real.
Do you thirst? Drink God's Water of Life. Are you hungry? Pull up to His banquet table, and feast on His goodness. There you will find real life."

"Promises Kept" by Ruth Scarbrough:

"God never promised
in whatever we do that
we'd always be happy
and healthy too.
He never said life
would be free of pain
but He said He'd be there
time and again
to bolster our spirits,
to lighten our way,
to give strength and courage
day after day.
To make us feel worthy,
to give inner peace
and from life's tensions
a loving release."

"The Bible is filled with glorious accounts of miracles. Throughout the ministry of Jesus, Scripture reveals many occasions when He supernaturally intervened in the lives of men and women. From turning water into wine at Canaan to raising Jairus' daughter from the dead, He brought help and hope to desperate lives...There was no disease or condition that was too difficult for Jesus to heal. He had power over all diseases...
The same Jesus who walked this earth "healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people" still heals today. Diseases and infirmities still vanish as sick bodies are transformed by the healing touch of Jesus. Health and life are restored when the Master comes on the scene."
(Benny Hinn - The Miracle of Healing)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "A Prayer Away" by Connie Hinnen:
"Don't be distressed or worried,
Be confident and still...
For many prayers are going up,
All asking For God's Will.
The road ahead seems dark now,
There's not much you can do
But place yourself within His hands,
And He will see you through.
So trust Him for each moment,
Cast on Him every care...
And His strong arms will carry you
When it's too much to bear.
There's power for the asking,
And strength for each new day...
The Great Physican's still 'on call' -
He's just a prayer away."
"When I look back across the landscape of my life, I am able to connect specific individuals to each crossroad and every milestone. A few of them have remained my friends to this very day. Each one has helped me clear a hurdle or handle a struggle, accomplish an objective or endure a trial - and ultimately laugh again.
I cannot even imagine where I would be today were it not for that handful of friends who have given me a heart full of joy. Let's face it, friends make like a lot more fun."
"On the Cross of Calvary,
Jesus changed my human
minus into God's plus.
He released the power of
God's mercy, forgiveness
and healing to me if I
would come to Him and
simply ask for it."
