More vinblastine available soon?
Last night my husband found information online that suggests one of the manufacturers of Vinblastine has produced a supply
that it will send to hospitals immediately for people like me. (I guess). This set of the drug will only have
a 6 month shelf life, for some reason, it usually has 18 month shelf life. I don't know what's going on with big Pharma
but I'm glad that maybe they were able to be convinced to make more of this drug that will help cure me of cancer. I
will be calling my doc next week to see if he heard about this new batch.

Wednesday's chemo went well
When I went to chemo on Wed, everything went well. They had all my meds and I felt pretty good. I returned
the next day for my Nuelasta shot. Today I feel rotten. I will try to sleep all day. I am worried about
my last 3 chemo treatments coming up. The supply of Vinblastine has not been replenished. There is a nationwide
shortage even now. I was given some this week that had been tucked away on a shelf at the cancer center. But what
is the reason for the shortage? When can the manufacturer create more? Will I be able to get my last
3 treatments on time? I am concerned. No one can answer these questions. Time for some praying.

Chemo is a go this week
Today when I called the hospital, they said that they do have my chemo drugs and I can go in for treatment on Wednesday.
I am so glad that I don't have to wait until next week. That would have been 4 weeks between treatments. I've
had a nice long weekend with my kids at home (their schools were closed Friday and today) so it might feel a little strange
starting back into the early wakeup/carpool routine tomorrow.
