Class members choose the fabric for the heart, background and border from pre-selected piles of fabric (red/pink for
hearts, medium to dark for backgrounds, and light for borders). I made each square and then gave it back to
the person to decorate with good wishes, a bible verse, or whatever they wanted to do. One member beaded a beautiful
rose (see detail below). I quilted flowers and leaves and various designs around each heart.
