Courses include practice time and materials and are limited to 2 people per class.
Basic Course covers machine operation, putting on zippers, loading the quilt and meandering patterns. 2
hours, $50 per person
Panto Course covers pantographs (all-over designs following a pattern), including following
the design and aligning the pattern after advancing the quilt. 1 hour, $25 per person
Advanced Course covers rulers, templates, circles, diagonals and specialty threads. 1 hour, $25
per person

Rental Fees
Beginner - $20/hour. Quilt is loaded for you and thread and tension set up. Basic Course
required.
Experienced - $15/hour. Renter has at least 20 rental hours and can operate the long-arm without
assistance.
Each rental includes a new needle and use of quilt studio equipment.
Zipper leads are required. They reduce the time needed to load the quilt and can be put on at home to save rental
time. $25 per set.
Minimum rental - 2 hours
Practice quilts are usually available at no cost, then donated to charity.

Cost Comparison - How long will it take on a long-arm?
The table below shows the average number of hours & cost
to quilt different size quilts, depending on type of quilting being done (the category) and experience level of renter. Cost
comparison with paying a long-arm quilter is based on $0.01/sq inch for Category A and $0.02/sq in for Category
B.
