My Poems

Here are a few of my poems. I will change them from time to time.

Rainbow Sprinkles
Rainbow sprinkles
And fairy twinkles
Soft blush of youth.
Innocent eyes
Seeing the world
For the first time.
Everything is new.
Wishes take flight
On butterfly wings.
Gossamer dreams
Sent high in the sky.
Lady bug treasures
Shine brightly
In the morning sun.
Oh, to be young again!
To want for nothing.
And expect the world
On a silver platter.

Warm Pink Sunset
Sweet twilight time draws ever near
The sound of serenity, oh so clear.
Close your eyes my precious one.
Sleep my darling, imagine a dream
So gentle, so dear
Such contended surrender
As I lie... As I lie...wrapped
In the warm pink sunset of your love.
Listen closely, perhaps you'll descry
The whispered hush of angel wings
Gliding silent through the half light.
Sleep my darling, imagine a dream
So gentle, so dear
Such contended surrender
As I lie... As I lie...wrapped
In the warm pink sunset of your love.
Angels sigh, such heavenly voices
Softer than a lullaby
Lilting daintily on high.
Sleep my darling, imagine a dream
So gentle, so dear
Such contended surrender
As I lie... As I lie...wrapped
In the warm pink sunset of your love.
Guardian angel on your shoulder
Cherub of the rose purple dusk
Sprinkling stars to guide the way.
Sleep my darling, imagine a dream
So gentle, so dear
Such contended surrender
As I lie... As I lie...wrapped
In the warm pink sunset of your love.
The stars come out one by one
Flirting with the man in the moon
Who smiles his silvery beams.
Sleep my darling, imagine a dream
So gentle, so dear
Such contended surrender
As I lie... As I lie...wrapped
In the warm pink sunset of your love.
The man in the moon guides the angels
As they snuggle down to hug you.
Keeping you safe as you snooze.
Sleep my darling, imagine a dream
So gentle, so dear
Such contended surrender
As I lie... As I lie...wrapped
In the warm pink sunset of your love.
Tomorrow you'll awake with the sunshine
Precious Aurora, harbinger of dawn
Songs of sparrows surround you.
Sleep my darling, imagine a dream
So gentle, so dear
Such contended surrender
As I lie... As I lie...wrapped
In the warm pink sunset of your love.

Storyteller
He wears a mask upon his face.
To hide the sadness with no trace.
But I can sense it in his eyes,
Their sparkle gone, they tell no lies.
And I can see inside his soul
Where sorrow has taken its bitter toll.
His words seem tinged with innuendo
As from feigned lips do they flow
Like the trickling of a waterfall
From newly melted snow.
So I too, the mask shall wear
While I listen and pretend to care.
He'll not stay long, I'm just a pawn;
And one of many he'll try to con.
