On April 26, Anthony H. Cordesman made two outrageous statements: "The images of both sides are becoming 'suicide bombing' versus 'atrocity.'" as well as this gem, "Previously home to some 13,000 people, the camp [Jenin] was largely destroyed during eight days of fierce clashes earlier this month between Israeli forces and Palestinian fighters."
We've come to expect inflated propaganda from the 'Palestinians', all they have to work with is a repetition of each their lies. By adopting their methods of printing material without corroborating evidence, ABC has obviously brought itself to the lowest level of 'journalism'. Far too many of the American press have demonstrated that they no longer operate with moral standards.

These are quoted from an article from Ashrawi on her website called 'A Question of Conscience' by Dr. Hanan Ashrawi dated January 11, 2002 and states...."Rather than succumb to the ultra-nationalist, xenophobic version of popular politics that attempts to rationalize the worst of Israeli measures against the Palestinians while blaming the victims for the horrors being inflicted upon them, this distinctive minority has dared to challenge the lies and distortions and to take a stand despite the high price to be paid. Among the journalists, Amira Haas and Gideon Levy stand out as examples of courage and honesty." and she thanks the likes of these groups.."Organizations like Rabbis for Human Rights, the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions, Gush Shalom, and many others have also steered a steady course despite the turbulent waves." She is also very good at sticking these little gems into her diatribes..."A soldier who aims at Palestinian children's heads and etches a notch on his gun barrel with every "kill" will ultimately have to face more scars on his own psyche and moral character."
This woman was been has been a thorn in the side of Israel and Jews worldwide for as long as has been able to speak or spew. Ashrawi is an accomplished spin master and you really must read between the line when you read her articles. You will be hard pressed to find this woman shed a tear for Israeli casualties of suicide bombers or for the children that are sent to blow them up. She is an intelligent woman and she know that Arafat and the other Arab countries are the problem but as long as she can spew she will spin her rhetoric and blame it all on Israel.
Ashwari is a perfect example of why CNN is among the top anti-Israel media in the coverage of the Middle East.  Please continue to bombard them again with e-mails to prevent this woman (for lack of a better word) from having her face shown or voice heard spewing her vile 'Palestinian' garbage to the people of the world. I don't know about you but I get seriously ill every time I see CNN or any other news organization give this woman airtime. You know the JWD drill already ....get emailing CNN, the BBC, etc. and demand that they remove this cancerous growth or, at the very least, start questioning her statements on-air!

I added the third quote for the simple reason, the Egyptian/American author of this drivel (which is full of lies and historical inaccuracies) thinks that Americans are going to come to his aid after his own Palestinian brethren killed 5 Americans at the Jerusalem University. Aside from all that his statement 'It's vital that this movement comes from standard everyday Americans.' is racial profiling at its worst! Brian Wood's article, 'Nazi Cow' and Running out of Water: The Jenin Refugee Camp is Invaded Again , is full of 'reports' that don't even make logical sense: "Israeli soldiers physically and verbally assaulted this same international aid worker, Cahoime, 23, Wednesday for trying to deliver water to the men who were being detained inside the camp; they were forced to sit under the hot sun and not given water or food. As Cahoime approached, she was called an 'Arab fucker' and a 'Nazi cow' and beaten. Her injuries are not severe and she continues to be one of the few international aid workers in the Camp." The site also has this article by Mina Eltaieb, Have We Really Come That Far, which contains this passage that also goes far into the realms of fantasy: "We had heard the reports of the devastation caused by the IDF in Ramallah just days before they moved into Jenin, yet the world remained silent. Silent as they arrested and blindfolded hundreds of males between the ages of 14 and 65. Silent as reports of civilians being used as human shields seeped out. Silent as the injured were left to bleed to death in the streets and denied access to ambulances that were targeted by the IDF. Silent as reporters and journalists were shot at and forced out of the "closed military zone.""
Once again we have an American group 'reporting' on events that they have no knowledge about. They make no effort to verify the truth of anything they hear before they propagate these outrageous myths. Can these people really know how much damage they are doing with their support of a 'cause' that doesn't exist? It is a mitzvah to lift the veil of ignorance from someone's eyes. Why not send them an e-mail and let them know the truth.

Articles like this one are extremely dangerous. Not just because the facts cannot be corroborated but because they are extremely dangerous to the State of Israel at a time when support and solidarity are most important. So go beyond the writers of this drivel and post your comments to the editor; after all, he has the last say in whether this article and others like it are printed. Hold him to task!

Regardless of what CNN comes up with as a reason or excuse for how it treated the whole Keinan family situation is just plain crap! To air an interview of a Palestinian mother sending her child off to blow up innocent Israelis as you or I would send our children off to camp, is absolutely intolerable. To glorify suicide bombers when they should have aired the interview of the victims, is is also sickening. This has go to stop. You all need to post your emails to CNN and let them know that this is plain wrong and that you will not tolerate it anymore. Do it .... do it now!

FAIR (now that's a misnomer for you) does a good job of hiding the anti-Israel rhetoric behind 'neutral' links from their site. But, remember -- if you link to their site, or worse, pay them money to advertise your site there, you are as guilty as someone who posts the offending articles on their own page! We are planning a page specifically for those 'people' who are more interested in profit than the lives of Israelis and Jews everywhere. A truly neutral media watch dog (like US! ) would not allow historical oversights to cloud their message. (Remember, WE never claimed to be neutral, just accurate!) We are declaring a policy of 'zero tolerance' on whoever is responsible for this unbelievable filth. Even the most liberal interpretation of 'freedom of speech' and the 'constitution' shouldn't protect this type of hate ranting (and it's not just against Jews, either.) Although WBCQ is transmitting from Monticello, Maine, it operates out of NYC. It uses a special, super-high-technology, so that it can be heard in almost every major city in the U.S. plus Canada, Mexico, and Central/South America! We believe it's made enough noise already. Again they leave out the word 'terrorist' but they say that Shehada was suspected of involvement in attacks! Come on this man led the terrorist bombers to their targets. This is common knowledge. He orchestrated more suicide bombing than almost anyone else, he created more widows, orphans, bloodshed and mayhem that almost anyone else and they talk about what the Israelis did as if it was an atrocity. Obviously, it is too much to expect an investigator to be impartial, honest, and professional when he is from the United Nations. To be so blatantly anti-Israel is sickening. The whole system needs to be changed but that won't happen until someone removes Arafat's right hand man, Kofi Annon (or he drops dead on his own - dealers choice.)

Virtually all of the coverage of the Arab-Israeli conflict starts from the presumption of Israel as villain and the Palestinians as victims. Thus, the program Middle East in Focus, heard twice monthly, devoted an entire edition to "Palestine Solidarity Day" in 1992. In an interview, on October 21st, Ralph Schoenman, a frequent guest on Pacifica, condemned the agreement in even stronger language. He claimed that the Palestinians were given a police force solely "for the purposes of suppressing the Palestinian population itself". But it is clear that Schoenman would have settled for nothing less than the total dismantling of the Jewish State. He falsely claimed that "In Israel today over 95%, 96% [of the land] is administered under rules where you are obliged to prove four generations of maternal Jewish descent to be entitled to live on land, lease it, sharecrop it, own it." Schoenman's assertions are nonsense.

This monthly magazine is an archtypal example of irresponsible reporting. Their regular column, SYNOD REPORTS , misuses words like 'palestine' and 'occupation' throughout the piece. Here is as excerpt: "The Rocky Mountain Synod's resolution condemned all acts of violence by both Israelis and Palestinians, and encouraged ELCA members to continue support for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan (and Palestine). The resolution also asks the synod bishop and other ELCA leaders to continue appeals to President Bush and the U.S. government to "take a clear position in regard to ending the occupation" and to advocate for international observers." Then, there is the despicable piece which actually attacks Judaism itself, called Oh, Jerusalem! :"We have to reject a racist, tribal God who prefers one group of people against others. The common premises of all three religions is that God is a universal God — a God of all peoples and nations, a God of justice for all peoples — and that all human beings are worthy of equal respect." "...This whole tribalizing of the region is unacceptable. And for us, as Christians, it's foundational that in Christ "there is no longer Jew and Greek, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free" (Colossians 3:11). All people are God's people. It's the theological basis for an ethic of justice, of mutual regard as fellow human beings, children of God, and, so, for peace among Jews, Muslims and Christians, and between Israelis and Palestinians." But, the worst thing in this magazine (although I admit, it had some tough 'competition' for that rating), is an article by "rabbi" Michael Lerner (he has special alerts, not only on our site, but others - like Masada2000's Self-hating Jews page - because he is a lying traitor and NOT a rabbi at all.) His article, Offer Israel Tough Love , is one of the vilest piece of lies and blatant anti-Israel propaganda that it has ever been my misfortune to read! As there is limited space in these alerts and the entire article should be quoted as an example of anti-Israel rhetoric, I'll leave it up to you to read it for yourselves.
It is ironic that the site containing these articles was sent to me by a Lutheran friend of mine (of 25 years standing.) He noted that there was absolutely no "Israeli side of the conflict" given in the magazine and wrote to ask for the facts (and told me to "sic 'em".) Everything written about the Middle East is about the hardships placed on the 'Palestinians'. Sure you can read their resolutions and think they want peace and equality for both sides but when you dig a little you'll find that this is as pro-Palestinian/anti-Israeli a site as you will find (and it's anti-JEWISH, as well.)

In his article when he mentions 'a rogue nation' he is referring to Israel. "Is a "rogue nation" one who illegally invades another's lands and brutally occupies that territory for 35 years?" and "Is a 'rogue nation" one who takes the water from conquered people and allows themselves 350 liters per day per person while leaving the conquered people with 100 liters per day per person? (The World Health Organization says the amount to meet minimum needs per person is 130 liters per person per day.)" and "Is a "rogue nation" one who completely shuts off the water for the conquered people during droughts, but continues to use tremendous quantities to fill their swimming pools and water their lawns?"
They say they speak the truth but the obviously wouldn't know the truth if it became animate and bit them in their collective asses. This is anti-Israel ranting of monumental proportions. There (as usual) is not one mention of the suicide bombers who kill innocent Israelis nor a single mention of Arabs who walk into Israeli homes and gun down entire unarmed families. Judging by their articles, that must be Media Monitors idea of a fine Democratic Palestinian state under the leadership of Chairman Arafat the good! Please I am about to lose my breakfast. By Moran's own definition -- "someone who has been convicted of a terrorist act, or someone who has admitted the act or been caught in the act" -- even the World trade Center bombers could barely be defined as terrorists. Since they (like Palestinian bombers) commit suicide, they will never be "convicted," nor will they ever "admit" their involvement, and frequently there are no surviving witnesses to prove they were "caught in the act." Moran also quips "What we don't do (and this is what irks Honestreporting) is throw the word around at every Palestinian who opposes the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip". This response is from HonestReporting who (after all) was the target of Moran's ranting. "Moran again fabricates falsehoods and attributes them to HonestReporting. We challenge Moran to produce any statement -- real or implied -- that HonestReporting applies terrorist to every Palestinian". This is the proper definition of terrorism ... "Actually, HonestReporting sticks to the standard definition of "terrorist" as set down by U.S. law: "...premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against noncombatant targets..." [Title 22 of the US Code, Section 2656f(d)]" Als [Amnesty International] being that we are Jews we know the when the conditions are reversed a terrorist is till a terrorist......"In fact, HonestReporting labels a "terrorist" anyone who fits the criteria. We therefore approve of the Jerusalem Post headline (June 13): "Alleged Jewish Terrorists on Trial Next Week." Yes, Jews who intentionally target innocent civilians should also be called terrorists".

Miftah is an extremely dangerous site, both because of the totally anti-Israel slant of its own statements (there is hardly a mention of blame for anyone but Israelis) and for being a place where anyone with an article full of hate (and lacking any sense of reality) can have it printed (and too often quoted by others as 'documentation'.) There are nearly 400 of these 'independent' articles alone (that isn't even counting their 'True Stories', 'Perspectives' , 'Intifada Update' , and much more). Many of the Independent Articles are by some of the most notorious 'Israel-haters', both 'jew', arab,and 'whatever' to be found anywhere and not a single one is subject to outside corroboration let alone required to produce evidence. Those quotes were fairly representative, but don't take our word for the vile nature of this site. By all means, go there yourself, read this garbage (you can learn a lot from these sites by looking at their links and friends pages, also) and then take action. In the first quote 'continuous Israeli attacks on Palestinians' come on....! at the very least they should try and make there lies believable and from the second one, well we all know the outcome of the church siege and we know that everything said in this article are lies, again. From an American website this is even more reprehensible than what comes out of the Middle East. You must let your government officials and this website know that you will not tolerate this kind of anti-Israel and anti-Jewish garbage online.

Where does he come up with these fantastic (as in pure fantasy) stories such as Sharon chasing after palestinian activists?!! Why is there nothing about how about a Hamas terrorist who, after a long campaign of sending 'suicide bombers' to Israel, hid himself amongst civilians hoping that the Israelis wouldn't target him? Well, what do you expect when these terrorists continue to send mass murderers aka 'suicide bombers' to kill innocent Israeli civilians. Contrary to what Baroud states, Israelis do not intentionally target civilians; that is something he and his fellow arabs have exclusive dibs on .

Now when you read the last sentence in the quote above it says...." Shehada was the founder of the military wing of Hamas, a redical Islamic group bent on destroying Israel" ... notice how they very deliberately leave out the word terrorist. This man knew he was being targeted by the Israelis and chose to put his family's life in danger by hiding out in a populated area. He had hoped the Israelis would not bomb him because Israeli's as a rule make very sure they target as few civilians as possible and none if it can be helped. In this case they took out their version of al-qaeda leader Bin Laden and they did it with as few casualties as possible and after the Jenin Massacre that didn't happen you would think that the press would think about what they print before they print it.
