For the last several weeks, I've been researching various groups who claim to be
concerned with 'peace' and 'justice' in the Middle East. And, so far, out
of close to 200 groups and websites that claim those lofty ideals, only four
have NOT been pro-'Palestinian' AND anti-Israeli! All of the others have spewed
the usual Arab propaganda about Israel in the guise of 'compassion' for poor
'Palestinians'.
While 'anti-Israel' (the
country) is not the same as 'anti-Semitic' (the Jewish people), they are
interconnected; how else can you explain the rise of
blatant anti-Semitism outside of Israel in the past few years (the same
time that anti-Israel feeling has been growing.) The same is true in
reverse - the worst Arab riots in British-administered Palestine took
place from 1936-1939, at the very time when Hitler and naziism were
gaining ground in Germany.
Many people claim that the pro-'Palestinian' groups are not anti-Semitic
by stating that they can recognize anti-Semitism when they 'see it.'
And, while they probably can recognize some of the anti-Semitism that is
occurring with increasing frequency in Europe and the US, they don't
connect that with anti-Israel feelings. One reason might be that, as
Americans, they never had to. Another reason might be that, since it is
not obvious in all the talk of 'peace' and 'human rights' spouted by
pro-'Palestinians', they have concluded that anti-Israel/anti-Jewish
feelings aren't present. That conclusion is WRONG. When Israeli Jews are
killed and wounded by Arab terrorists BECAUSE THEY ARE JEWS and
in the 'cause' of the 'Palestinians'; that is anti-Semitism.
By its very nature, any pro-'Palestinian' rhetoric IS anti-'Israeli!
There is no Palestine - that territory (it was never a country) ceased
to exist as a separate entity in 1948 when Israel began as a sovereign
state. Use of the words 'Palestine' and 'Palestinian', especially in a
political context, promote Arab and other anti-Israeli propaganda
(whether that's the intent of people who use them so freely, or not.)
Those words are intended as a means to 'wipe out' the State of Israel!
First figuratively - by avoiding the name 'Israel' and refusing to give
it recognition, and second literally - by its promotion by people who
are openly trying to bring about Israel's destruction and dissolution.
For some reason which I can't fathom, some people are automatically
assuming that any solution that is 'pro-Israeli' (in other words, puts
the rights of ISRAELI citizens to safety and security as a major
component) is automatically one that is NOT 'just and reasonable' to the
Arab population! This must be a sign of blind acceptance of Arab
propaganda and baseless rhetoric because the facts of the matter are
that the Arab population has always had 'just and fair' rights in
Israel, far more so than in any other Middle Eastern country. The
Israelis have even shown that no-name-is-bad-enough Arafat rights! There
has been no corroborating evidence for Israeli 'atrocities'; they only
exist in Arab lies and rhetoric. Actually, all the evidence shows that
Israelis have, indeed, shown remarkable restraint in the face of
enormous provocation (too much so, in my personal opinion.)
I don't deny that the Arab population is 'suffering' but most of that is
through their own making (because they have followed terrorist leaders
who don't give a damn for their welfare!) And, why do all these
concerned people make no mention of the suffering that the Israelis are
going through? Israelis have to live with not only the fear of continued
terrorist attacks (as in America) but the reality of them, on a daily
basis. There is scarcely an Israeli Jew today who has not lost a family
member, friend, and/or neighbor due to ARAB ATROCITIES (what else
would you call indiscriminate mass murders committed by human bombs?)
Where is the compassion for them - the men, women, and children who were
killed or wounded because they were JEWS?
I've already done my 'homework; that is why I have reached the
conclusions that I have. (I've stated my credentials previously; if you
want them again, please ask for them.) I suggest that those of you who
still accept pro-'Palestinian' propaganda widen their own vision and
take a really good look at what is REALLY going on in Israel.
