So Many Massacres, So Little Truth

Mythical massacres seem to be a big theme these days.'

After reading just one 'news report' too many about the 'massacre' in Jenin, I wrote this piece.

Mythical massacres seem to be a big theme these days. If you have a strong stomach, go to JewWatch at: JewWatch where you can read about supposed massacres from biblical days through the present. Be careful not to get a swelled head; we Jews come across as INCREDIBLY powerful.

My "favorite" massacre story on that site (although it has a lot of competition for sheer idiocy and nonsense) is the one about the 6-Day War (in which details and dates of the Yom Kippur War are mixed in.)

They describe Israeli aggression to Egyptians like this (It's listed under Jewish Media Lies): "1967 Six-Day Israeli-Arab War Was Not Started by Egypt invading Israel on Yom Kippur as Reported in American-World-Jewish-Zionist Presses but Began with Israel Bombing All Egyptian War Planes as they Sat on the Ground."

They can't even get two separate wars straight; as you (and I THOUGHT everybody) know the 6-Day War occurred in June 1967 and the Yom Kippur war began in Oct. 1973. Egypt attacked Israel without warning on Israel's holiest day. Ironically, the fact that the roads were clear of nearly all moving vehicles made the emergency mobilization possible (most of the Israelis weren't even on their bases on that day - my fiancé certainly wasn't! (personal note - he was killed on Nov. 8th; shot down over the Sinai Desert, so I am definitely with you Israeli readers in spirit as you remember our war dead. He was a navigator in Nahal.)

Then they proceed with another nonsensical claim that is actually belied by their first statement. "Israel Began the Massacre by Attacking Egypt, Trapping it's Planes on the Ground." It's absolutely true that the Israeli Air Force destroyed the entire Egyptian Air Force on the ground (a little after 6:00 am when nearly everyone was asleep) and then immediately flew back to Israel. The barracks were not fired upon; not a single shot. All the Egyptian pilots would have to regularly sleep in the cockpits of their planes for a "massacre" to have taken place.

Frankly, a little bit of this sorry excuse for reporting goes a long way. They constantly repeat themselves; elaborating on the same lies over and over.
