Frivolous Information
We have been making music together for 30 years. Our influences
have been broad. While we feel very lucky about this, it has always presented a series of questions, mostly for
others. What kind of music do play? What bin should we put your CD into? Which radio station format does your music
fit into? What kind of club can we book you in? We never had a satisfactory answer for any of these questions.
We are just KATE AND LOU and we write and play and write the music that we like and feel. It might be original
this year or traditional next year. It might be bluegrass or blues, country or rock, or a jazz ballad. We are proud
that we have followed our hearts with our music. We have finally decided that it might be best to just present
our music two songs a a time. You know, like an old 45 rpm with an "A side" and a "B side".
Basically a virtual 45. So, that's what we have done here. The "A sides" and "B sides" that
we we have presented as virtual 45s the the juke box are two songs that might have been written during the same
period, or follow a similar sound , style or theme. It any case we think they fit together. You might try to listen
to our music two songs at a time and come back another time for another two. As our 30th Anniversery project we
would like to present these songs to you. They span our musical life together. We hope you enjoy them!!!!
