ARLIS/DVC Spring Meeting

The Delaware Valley Chapter of the Art Libraries Society of North American is pleased to announce a one day program of speakers and tours in conjunction with their Spring meeting. The program will be hosted by the Philadelphia Museum of Art Library.

 

 

Focusing on the recent publication Art Museum Libraries and Librarianship, edited by Joan Benedetti, this event will feature presentations from three of the book’s contributors:

 

Roger Lawson of the National Gallery of Art;

 

Allen K. Townsend of the Yale University Arts Library; and

 

Linda Seckelson of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

 

Tours will also be available of the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s new library in the Perelman Building, of the Perelman Building as a whole, and attendees can purchase tickets in advance for the museum’s upcoming exhibition, Frida Kahlo.

The cost of registration is $10. Registration is limited, and must be postmarked by March 7, 2008. Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first served bases. To register, please print and complete the registration form, and mail it to the address on the form with a check for $10.

 

Please be aware that tickets to Frida Kahlo must be purchased in advance through the museum. Please order tickets early if you are interested, as this will be a very popular exhibit.
