JACK and KATE: LOST HEROES

For a moment, Kate stops running. She has been seeing things, things which remind her of what she’s done. She wants to run away, but Jack won’t let her. He does that—forces her to stay and face things—but he’ll condemn her—she knows he will. She yells at him:
“I’m sorry that I am not as perfect as you! I’m sorry that I’m not as good!”
Instead, he comforts her, and she lets go and gives into her feelings…and kisses him (Season 2, Episode 9). It’s the island—it compels them to face their fears and failures and learn to trust one another. Kate, Jack and forty-something others crash-landed upon it forty-something days ago. Kate is a fugitive who needs to realize she is a heroine; Jack is a doctor who needs to realize he doesn’t always have to be the hero. Both must learn how to “live together or die alone."
