IN PERSON

2ND ANNUAL DELAWARE BOOK FESTIVAL, 11/03/07

Karen deBV had a booth at this festival which featured the work of national and local authors and illustrators, as well as workshops, children’s activities and vendors. All of the exhibitions at the Festival promoted books, reading, libraries and literacy, and were held outdoors in lighted, heated tents. Although the expected crowd of 3000 was diminished by bad weather, a festive atmosphere prevailed, and many books were sold.

5TH ANNUAL BREAST CANCER BENEFIT, 9/30/07

6TH ANNUAL BREAST CANCER BENEFIT, 10/5/08

Karen deBV was the featured speaker at this intimate and energetic fundraiser luncheon at the Delaware Water Gap Country Club where copies of her novel, Boob, a Story of Sex, Cancer & Stupidity were donated to the delightfully diverse Chinese auction, as well as for sale. (A portion of each sale was donated to the chosen benificiary of the luncheon.)

PHOTO:  KAREN AND HONEY, 6/06

We came to Fran to teach our dog, Honey, how to behave better and learned that we were the ones with the behavioral problem!! Some things we’re too lazy to change but others have improved enormously. Mostly we learned how Honey thinks and why she behaves the way she does so we all get along famously now. Another great benefit of working with Fran is that we were introduced to Flint River Ranch. I’m a real cheapskate with a lot of things but there’s no better way to return Honey’s love and affection than with high quality food that ensures she lives the longest and healthiest life possible.
