With a true love and a new baby, Lesli Kay is living the life Molly Conlan can only dream of

It doesn't matter that AS THE WORLD TURNS' Lesli Kay (Molly) and Keith Coulouris (ex-David) are both well-known stars of daytime television.  From the moment the couple walk into this Soaps In-Depth photo shoot, they might as well be invisible as all eyes go straight to their newborn son, Jackson.

"He's  the ATWT mascot," the actress explains while everyone fusses over the boy.  "He's at the studio every day that I am."

And as Jackson charms the pants off the group, Kay and Coulouris beam like the proud parents that they are.

ROUGH START
Although the beginning months of the pregnancy were fraught with morning sickness, Kay would do it all over.  "It's all worth it," she insists.  "I said to Keith the other day, 'I feel like getting pregnant again.' He's like, 'I'm going to play you back video of the last month of your pregnancy, and you can tell me if you want to get pregnant.'"

Kay laughs, but when Coulouris suggests that being pregnant isn't fun, the new mother pauses.  "I can't say being pregnant is fun," she admits.  "It wasn't horrible.  When I stopped puking and before I got too huge, there was that time in there that was fun."

WHO'S A BIG BOY?
Suddenly, Jackson erupts into a loud wail, and Coulouris picks him up and takes him to the other end of the studio.  As he dances the salsa with his son, Jackson quiets down. "We've tried other things," Kay explains.  "Tango is not his thing."

Then she clarifies the reason behind the outburst: "He's teething.  He's not even three months old, and he's teething already."

Although initially concerned about bringing Jackson to the studio at such a young age, Kay was reassured by her mother.  "My mom said, 'Lesli, do you remember where you were at three months?'" she recollects.  "And I said, 'No, that's a good point.  He's fine.'"

pictureMOTHERLY ADVICE
"Everybody I know who's ever had a child has tons of advice," she says, smiling. "And my advice to everybody is, 'Use your best judgment.' Every child is different."

Kay does get pointers from some of the other mothers close to her.  "The persons that I've asked the most questions to are Laurie Park, Michael's (Jack) wife, and Martha Byrne (Lily/Rose)," she says, "because they both have boys.  But now that we're more comfortable, and he's already three months old, we really just take our own advice."

Being cast as ex-lovers by ATWT made a real-life couple of Kay and Coulouris.  And now they have a beautiful baby boy, Jackson

MISS MOLLY
However, don't look for Molly to enjoy this kind of happiness anytime soon, even if it does look like sparks are flying between her and Jake as he helps her fake amnesia and trap Katie. "Jake is the only one who doesn't know Molly's entire behavior and past," her portrayer laughs.  "Nobody else would be with her!"

Molly may have a hard time finding a steady date, and she's alienated her daughter, Abigail, but Kay wouldn't have it any other way.  "Molly's much more accepted, but I still don't want her to be good," she laughs.

Then Jackson lets out a giggle, and Kay and Coulouris grin along with him.  "He makes me laugh when he laughs," she says, beaming with pride.  "That's got to be the cutest thing at the moment.  I love him so much."

Birthday: June 13
A little help from her friends: Since co-star Martha Byrne (Lily/Rose) also has a son, Kay sometimes looks to her for advice.  "I've called her on certain occasions for things."
Music man: "We love music, and Keith [Coulouris (ex-David)] always plays guitar and sings, Jackson really loves it.  We play music for him every night in his room when he's sleeping."
Take it from me: "I said to Terri [Conn (Katie)], 'You mess with Holden, and everyone hates you.'" recalls the relative ATWT veteran. "Speaking from being there, you know? And I warned her, 'Don't take it personally.'"
A sobering plot: "My favorite storyline, because it was the most real, was the Andy/Molly intervention... the whole drinking thing.  That was the most real, so therefore, the most fun for me to play as an actor."
