Lesli Kay was born Lesli Kay Pushkin on June 13. She grew
up in Charleston, West Virginia and at the age of 13, her's was the first individual
girl's bas mitzvah to be held in Charleston. Lesli was a cheerleader while attending
George Washington High School. Her mother, Marsha Pushkin Albert was a sexual abuse
therapist and director for the Resolve Family Abuse program at the YWCA in Charleston
and her late father, Dr. Jack Pushkin, was the chief of orthopedics for the
Charleston Area Medical Center. She has two brothers, David and Michael.
Lesli's brother, David Pushkin, is
a New York artist, who is known in his hometown of Charleston for his work on the
stained glass windows
at the B'Nai Jacob Synagogue. Her brother, Michael, still lives in
Charleston and is a musician and club owner.
Lesli Kay
began modeling in New York at the age of 15. Later, at age 18, she took a behind the
scenes job at MTV. While working at MTV, she had the opportunity to meet some of the
popular rock stars of the day and rub shoulders with the veejay pioneers. This has
got to be every teenagers fantasy! Lesli later attended Colorado State University
where she earned a BA in theater and speech communications. While attending college
she performed in many regional theater productions including Grease, Romeo
and Juliet, My Sister in This House, Pushkin: A One Woman Show, A
Midsummer Night's Dream, The Children's Hour, Flowers for Algernon,
A Chorus Line and The Art of Self Defense.
In December 1991, Lesli appeared as a contestant on the top-rated TV game show Wheel of Fortune, bringing home an impressive $22,000.
Lesli has had leading roles in the films The Other Sister (1999), Guarded Secrets (1997), Charades (1996), Forbidden Games (1996), Petticoat Planet (1996), Forbidden Passions (1995) and Carpool Guy (2005). Her primetime television credits include High Tide, Women Series, Nowhere Man, True Blue, Hunter, Secret Service, Counterstrike, The Big Easy and Law & Order (2003). She has also appeared on the daytime soap operas Ryan's Hope, One Life to Live, Loving, As the World Turns and General Hospital.
Lesli
Kay joined the cast of As the World Turns on March 1, 1997 as Molly
Conlan. This role earned her Soap Opera Weekly's Outstanding Performer of
the week for January 25, 1999 (with co-star Scott DeFreitas), a Soap Opera
Digest nomination for Favorite Scene Stealer for the year 1999 and an Emmy
Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress at the 28th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards
in 2001 (click the Emmy for more information).
In June 2004, Lesli exited her role as Molly on ATWT and joined the cast
of General Hospital, recreating the role of Lois Cerullo. When the role
of Lois was written off the show, Lesli took a brief hiatus then was right back
on daytime, joining The Bold and The Beautiful as rebellious Felicia
Forrester in November 2005.

She currently lives in California with her husband (and former As the World Turns co-star), Keith Coulouris whom she met when he auditioned for the show. According to several published articles, she thinks he is the sweetest guy she has ever met. They have two sons, the oldest, Jackson William, was named after their fathers. He was born on February 22, 2000 after over 12 hours of labor, a scare when the umbilical cord became wrapped around his neck and a C-section. Her youngest, Alec Jude, was born on June 15th, 2005. After five miscarriages during a previous marriage, they are truly her miracle babies.
She is currently writing a book about her experiences with bulimia and with her wish to move to L.A. fulfilled, now only needs to land that coveted sitcom role.
Lesli Kay does not always like the way many interviewers and writers portray her life. Many will leave out important facts or use her words out of context. I spoke to her once and her advice was never to totally believe anything you read.*
