Your website is interesting, entertaining and I can tell how much thought, creativity and hard work went into making it. I wish you the best of luck, and all good things to come to you. P.S. Comments about the web site: Hi Kent,
I just happened to find your web site by checking out your URL address on the Slowhand Digest. Boy, was I ever glad that I did! I first checked out your links page and when I did I thought I died and went to heaven! So many great Blues/Rock links...that will keep me surfing for weeks! Thanks.
But most definitely my FAVORITE SPOT on your site was your Sound Samples Page. My first download was of "Steppin' Out"......and I was pleasantly surprised...actually quite BLOWN AWAY by the performance! WOW!!! I'm a little embarassed to admit how many times I played your wav that first night! ::::blush::: Anyway, I equally enjoyed your other wavs that I downloaded from your site the next day, "Got To Hurry", "Further On Up The Road", "Left Hand Shake" and "Lilly-Jo". And in my humble opinion, Clapton would be proud that he inspired your performance on "Got To Hurry".
Thanks for the site and most importantly the music! Hope one day I get to hear you perform live....

Comments about the web site: Hi Kent,
I found your Website from slowhad.digiweb.com which is
also a great site like yours. I guess we
"Babyboomers" all visit the usual sites and appreciate
all the usual great guitar players like E.C., Duane
Allman, Peter Green and all the great bluesmen before
them.
Like you, I have been playing the guitar for over 30
years when my whole neighbourhood were digging the
Ventures and I did'nt have a guitar with a vibrato
arm so I had to do it with my fingers. I could
never cop "Walk don't run" without the E chord dive
so I played "Hideaway" by Freddie (then spelt Freddy)
King instead. Afterall, Freddie was also a dance
band instrumentalist then so it was politically
acceptable to recite "Hideaway" or "The Stumble" at
local battle of the bands. I never won anything
during these contests because my music were not the
hits of the day and my tone was too dirty coming out
of a little 15 watter turned right up.
Anyway, I was glad my Mom bought me the wrong guitar,
the one without the vibrato arm, because I would never
have used finger vibrato which made me listened to
Freddie King who, by default, introduced the "Blues"
to me at such an early age of guitar playing. When
Clapton came out with John Mayall in the "Beano" album,
I suddenly realized I had been treading along the
right path all along. I recognized Freddie's song
even before I knew about Clapton's dedication to the
Blues.
Today, I still play guitar as a hobby after playing
semi-pro for 20 years reciting the usual blues
standards, cover versions of Hendrix, Led Zep and
all the 60's & early 70's great guitar bands. I am
closing to 50 years old now and have a great family.
My kids are also listening to the blues but from
Stevie Ray's direction but we still get it on once in
while in the basement jamming on standards like
"Hideaway".

Comments about the web site: Hey Bud!... Yep that's it!.... I downloaded a few samples and I was impressed. I sure hope you could make it to western NY, I bet you would enjoy it. I'm near a town called Elmira, just east of Corning, NY. Believe it or not there's a blues club (bar) called Kingsbury here. The owner is an ex-bass blues player who loves to catch blues artist between major gigs. I'm not originally from here and was shocked by the calliber of blues artists which show up in this burg. Some of the acts have been Tinsley Ellis, Bob Margolin, even Kim Simmons and the Savoy Brown band, this is just naming a few. Koko Taylor was there for their festival.... Good company to be in!
We/I as a fan/fans would love to see you drop by for a visit. You've got to come out and play for us...... Check out the bar at (607) 734-4974. If your just passing through or would like a gig, it's a small place but really good time for all....c'mon over!

Comments about the web site: A warm and honest comment from the land of the midnight sun: Norway, with no traditions in Blues than what we've got from listening to records. Some of us are perfoming these days , or just enjoying, visiting festivals and clubs.
In fact every year a Blues Festival takes place in Notodden, and it's said to become the greatest in Europe! BB King was there... and PETER GREEN in 1996!!!!!!!( I never told you, did I?) So, Kent,- it's worth a visit.I think you would have been a great "star" there!
Though I've only met you on the net in privacy, I understand you are a great player! And,- I have of course listened to you demos, feeling the nostalgic and virtual sound, mixed with professional and personal expressions...:)
I also appreciate your sense of humour and intelligence,- and knowledges about Norway!
Your homepage,- as a matter of fact I don't know HOW you have made it, but it's impressing! Apart from the technically fine workmanship,it certainly presents you honestly!!

Meeting Kent and playing with him was a great experience. Not only is he a
really nice guy, he is carrying the long tradition of raw blues guitar, no
compromises. He sat in with my band for a couple of hours, and we were all
very impressed by both his playing and singing. When we did a gig with him
the following friday, having only rehearsed once, we got one heck of a
demonstration of genuine blues. He gave it all that night and the crowd
couldn't get enough. Kent Pearson is a true entertainer with lots of blues
feeling.
