Hello. I'm glad you've visited my new website. Now here's a little bit about the guy who prefers standing behind the
camera.
I'm originally from Donaldson, Pennsylvania. Way back when I used to want to be a mailman, and a pilot, and an astronaut,
etc etc...
Then around 1992 I got involved in photography in Graphic Arts at Pine Grove Area High School. (Thank you, Mr.
Nickel.) I always had a love of photography, but until then I didn't realize what I could do with it.
There I started out with black and white photography - doing solo projects, as well as some work for the yearbook.
After being nudged away from photography for a few years in college, I got a quick kickstart with a local playwright
in the Pittsburgh area, taking promotional pictures for a 2 productions, as well as a third that I don't remember the title..
sorry, it was along time ago! My first published pictures were for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the In Pittsburgh
newsweekly.
At this time I also changed my major to Film and continued study at the University of Pittsburgh, taking courses at Pittsburgh
Filmmakers.
After I ran out of money for college, I moved to Massachusetts in 1998 and looked for work. I got a job with the local
newspaper, the North Adams Transcript, and later a photo lab, which really gave me an in-depth knowledge of the Northern
Berkshire area's ins and outs.
During my stint as a photographer with the
North Adams Transcript, I started rediscovering my love of nature photography, and got my first nature images published in
Quality Printing Company's
Closer Look at the Berkshires calendar.
Now I work at
Crane & Co., the company which produces currency paper for the U.S. government, as well as wedding invitations, business and personalized
stationery. I'm currently building up my library of slides of Berkshire County and beyond, as well as doing portraiture,
weddings, graphic design, among other things.
Feel free to browse around, drop me an email, check out what services I can offer, as well as find a collection of my
favorite links and places to visit on the web. Thanks for visiting.
