Yay we made the finals!
What’s Knew Knewfoulke made the finals of the Plowshares songwriting competition in Phoenixville PA this month. We didn’t make the cut to appear on stage, but here’s hoping one of the playing acts breaks his fingers or has a flat tire on the way to the gig. (J/K best of luck to everyone) In the meantime please enjoy a 10 song Demo that Frank recorded of me at the Coffee club. Due to size restrictions however he was forced to speed it up to the point where I sound not unlike a small chipmunk or gerbil on acid. Also, you may notice the new jukebox at the top of the page, I take no credit for this and must point to my son Eddie for finding and uploading most of the tunes that play from it. Enjoy and hope to see you soon.
Knewfoulke’s catalog includes over 300 cover songs from artists ranging from Tom Petty, Elton John, Billy Joel, Bryan Adams, Journey, Johnny Cash, Rod Stewart, Todd Rundgren to quirky, funny material by They Might Be Giants, Monty Python & Dr. Demento, and some memorable tv show themes and there’s a lot to listen to. They also have their own catalog of over 50 songs only some of which are available here.
Maximum sound, minimum footprint. If you were looking for the most sound for your dollar, with the minimum amount of space taken up, then KF is your best bang for the buck. We can create an entire musical environment with full 5 part vocal harmonies along with guitar, bass, harmonica, and percussion in a small space that requires only a 15 x 15 foot square. The group can be scaled to fit into the environment. If all you needed was a duo with guitars, that can be done and not loose the great harmonies. If you wanted the whole four piece band, that’s fine too. If customers wanted to enjoy the music, they could focus on it, but if they wanted to have a conversation with the person next to them, they could also do that.
Free Music for Download
Yeah, its FREE!!! The names of songs listed on the left hand side of the site are from old KF albums and demos that were never released. These are FREE SONGS you can download from KnewFoulke, (ahem, you’re welcome). Most of these are studio demo’s that were deemed unfinished by it’s overbearing, demanding yet unquestionable genius writer. So instead of letting them rot on my hard drive for years (which some have for as many as 10 or more) here are over a dozen KF MP3’s for your listening pleasure. If you wanted to hear what KF sounds like, click on any of the songs located on the left hand side of the page to hear them. You can also RIGHT CLICK on them and save them to your computer if you do not have the proper active X controls for your web browser.
Also, if you were ever interested in learning a KF tune you can now download a PDF file of over 50 KF tunes music & Lyrics. So now you can pick up your instrument of choice and play along with KnewFoulke at our next gig if we have one. And / or rip us off and go get famous off our hard work. Just click on the PDF icon to download and enjoy
If you run an internet radio station and want to promote any of this material, feel free to use any of them you wish and thanks for helping promote the band. Please shoot us off an Email telling us where your station is so we can link it here and cross promote your site.
Thanks for visiting and send us an email if you have any questions.

Knew Video of the Moment
Kidd on speed
Here’s a video Frank filmed of me playing a 10 song medley at the coffee club using my new Digitech Vocalist. However, he had to speed it up a bit to fit the restrictions of YouTube so I sound like I’ve been sucking in helium pre gig. Enjoy
The other is Eddie, Jesse, and Maura playing Old McDonald in my Basement. We recorded it on New Years, the day after my birthday. Wishing all of yours a happy Knew Years.

History
KnewFoulke is more of a style of music than an actual band. It’s a cross between Heavy Snyth New Age and Acoustic Folk Music (new + folk = KnewFoulke). With short, catchy tunes that usually revolve around a story, it’s easy to come away from a KF show humming their tunes. It’s interesting to note that knewfoulke is neither new age, or folksy.
Formed in 1990ish they played around the Philly area in bars, bookstores and coffee houses. Due to the hectic day schedules of its members regular gigs were seldom, and after time, KF faded away, but not before producing one album tilted (though the name doesn't actually appear on the cover) Integrity has been compromised, In 1993.
In 1996 they reformed losing a bass and gaining drums to play several gigs in the Philly / Delaware area before once again fading into obscurity. But not before KILLING at the Grape St. Pub, yeah!
In 2000 it reformed again with a different drummer and bass player to produce a second album. After dozens of studio hours working on the next album (titled: Y is Tru) they wrapped it up, unfinished, and put it in the vault where many of the tunes sit today. The Y album was never released, but many of the songs are available free on line here in the new Century.
2008 (present day) Once more KF has dragged itself out of history and the lead man (Kiddpark, me) plays at local coffee houses in the Delaware Valley, especially the Coffee Club on State Street in Media Pa.
KF Achievements:
Knewfoulke (or KF) was formed in 1991 Performed at the Marlbro Talent Music Roundup (insert whip sound here) where it made it to the finals of over 250 bands around Philadelphia PA.
Made the semi finals of the UNISONG international song contest with their tune ‘Flying with the Drones’.
KF was listed in MUSICIAN magazine as one of the top 200 Unsigned bands in America (Nov 92) (though they’d rather be listed as the bottom SIGNED bands if asked)
Played to 6000 at Turks Head Music Festival simulcast on Television

Kidd’s Knew Toy
The brand new Digitech Vocalist Live 4 creates 5 part harmony from a single vocal reading the guitar chords. Come hear the amazing sound at our next gig.
We’ll have a demo movie up showing just what the Vocalist is capable of. Stay tuned.
Gigging out in the Knew
Looking to play out around the Media Area more into the new year and get some regular monthly gigs in the clubs along my hometown main drag.
Be sure to check back here for dates of future KF concerts when they happen. Remember, we don’t play often so if we do, you better get out to see us cause God knows when we’ll get out again. |
