In loving memory of

my dear mother

Her valiant battle with diabetes for 26yrs robbed her of her sight, as well as her mobility. Her body gave in but her mind was strong! She gave so much to her family and friends, loved them unconditionally and took so little for herself. She loved to plan big birthday bashes as well as holiday dinners for everyone to get together. Mom was a talented artist who would make beautiful wreaths, party favors and such as well as decorations for her favorite holiday, Christmas. She always had a different theme to decorate for each Christmas and it took months to plan and put out. Our house won many awards at Christmas for her hard work and talent! She also played the piano beautifully, taught Sunday School and wrote a song for her firstborn granddaughter. She adored her grandchildren and loved every minute she spent with them!

Together we formed Kellene, she was so proud of the dogs, as she was of my acheivements with them. She loved the dogs and would always encourage me to go for a goal and comfort me if I didnt achieve it on the day! I have had to let some of my favorite dogs go home to God and it gives me great comfort to know she is there for them.

Fly, fly little wing
Fly beyond imagining
The softest cloud, the whitest dove
Upon the wind of heaven's love
Past the planets and the stars
Leave this lonely world of ours
Escape the sorrow and the pain
And fly again
Fly, fly precious one
Your endless journey has begun
Take your gentle happiness
Far too beautiful for this
Cross over to the other shore
There is peace forevermore
But hold this mem'ry bittersweet
Until we meet
Fly, fly do not fear
Don't waste a breath, don't shed a tear
Your heart is pure, your soul is free
Be on your way, don't wait for me
Above the universe you'll climb
On beyond the hands of time
The moon will rise, the sun will set
But I won't forget
Fly, fly little wing
Fly where only angels sing
Fly away, the time is right
Go now, find the light
