2008-2009
Several students sang in the National Assoc. of Teachers of Singing spring auditions.  Congratulations to Melanie Knecht, Lexie Elieson, and Cassie Pelton for progressing to the semi-final round of competition.
 
Congratulations to Amanda Higginbotham, who earned a superior plus rating at the Mid-Cities Music Teachers Assoc. Fall Festival.  She also performed in the winners' recital.
 
WOW!  Every student from this studio who competed in UIL Solo and Ensemble contest received a superior rating and advanced to state competition!!  Congratulations to Hannah Pardoe, Cassie Pelton, Lexie Elieson, Taylor Delaughter, Taylor Vassios, Dana Faris, Nicole Choate, and Victoria Shaw!!  At state competition, Dana, Cassie, and Victoria received superior ratings on their solos, and Lexie and Nicole received a superior on their ensemble.
 

 
Congratulations to Dana Faris, who made it through the 3rd audition and into the area choir.These students made the Region 24 all-region choir: Nicole Choate and Cassie Pelton (alt.). Congratulations to these all-district choir members: Taylor Vassios, Katie Glidden, and Victoria Shaw.
 
2007-2008
 
DFW NATS Auditions:  Lauren Kane--2nd place in music theater.   Cassie Pelton--advanced to semi-finals in both classical and music theater. 
 
Kate Bristol had three call-back auditions in New York to be in "Spring Awakening."   
 
All-District Choir:  Taylor Vassios and Victoria Shaw.
All-Region Choir:  Cassie Pelton. 
All-Area Choir: Kelli Caldwell.
All-State Choir:  Kate Bristol, for the third year in a row.  
 
Superior ratings at UIL solo and ensemble contest:  Taylor Vassios, Hannah Pardoe, Lexie Elieson, Julie Romney, Cassie Pelton, Morgan Couch, Lauren Kane, and Kelli Caldwell.
 
Outstanding Soloist in her room at State UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest:  Kelli Caldwell.
 
Baptist All-State Choir and small ensemble:  Kelli Caldwell
 
 
2006-07
Semi-finals at DFW NATS Auditions:  Lauren Kane, Kate Bristol, Heather Neeley, and Emma Pardoe.
Kate Bristol won 2nd place in the classical division and 1st place in music theater.

This student made it past the fourth and final cut and was in the 2006 all-state choir as a sophomore!! Kate Bristol

The Baptist Convention also has an all-state choir.  Kelli Caldwell was chosen for this choir, AND also selected to perform with a select small ensemble.
